Folks, I'm considering getting some CDI bottom metal for my T3 that sitting in a Manners T3 stock with the factory plastic bottom metal. I'm looking for some pics of how well it fits and how much inletting would be needed.

I emailed Manners and this is the answer I got:

It will only need a little sanding to make it fit. The CDI looks a little different when it sits in the stock. The rear or the CDI will sit in the stock not flush.

no I'm sorry I don't have any pics. it will sit about 1/4" yes you can sand the inside of the stock. Put it in 1st and see how it fits it should be very close.

Mystic said that last time he tried to install one is turned into quite the project.

I don't have any fancy milling equipment, just a Dremel. I don't want order one and discover that I have to ruin the stock to make it fit or find out that it looks ridiculous.

I think the cdi metal is close, width wise, to the tikka bottom plastic. It is; however, thicker to where you`re action screws would be too short if you installed the cdi metal without properly inletting the stock. Don`t be discouraged though, it will be a very easy job to inlet the stock using a mill. In the end it shouldn`t cost you more then $75 to have this done and you will end up with a great mag system.

I don't have any fancy milling equipment, just a Dermal. I don't want order one and discover that I have to ruin the stock to make it fit or find out that it looks ridiculous.

It took me quite a while to put the CDI DBM into my Remington VLS Laminate stock, the dermal worked along with a wood rasp. I didn't know the back was not supposed to fit flush so I altered the mags a Little so the bold would close....live and learn I guess.
