Got my first land permission today !

Got permission on a place today that nobody else is hunting it seems like it is all mine and they say that there are always turkeys around so I guess i will be attempting to figure out turkey hunting.
 
awesome! just this year i got permishion to hunt on a 3000 acre ranch. strictly private land! only two other people hunt on it! there is a tonne of deer, elk, moose, and many many more animals! i only wish there was turkey on it! i have always wanted to hunt turkey. congrats on getting permishion its is way better then hunting on public land and having to share it with everyone! good luck!

Well my situation is confusing. I am a university student in a coop program. So every 4 months I move for a new placement or school. Currently I am in Niagara, I will be back in Waterloo for school shortly and occasionally go back to my parents place in Newmarket. So really anywhere in those vicinities. I have bought a permit for the Niagara conservation areas, just no luck yet.. Unfortunately I believe the permits for Waterloo conservation areas are wayyyy to pricey
 
Lost my land last year but were successful at a few hunts local to Cambridge myself hint lol

Seriously, a good call (I prefer box call) a couple of decoys and camo and your good to go

You may want to spend a bunch of time to learn the land and have some fun

I always remember a buddy of mine once told me if a turkey could smell you'd never have a chance as their hearing and eyesight are so superior
