Well... I'm not a big fan of Fobus, but I do like HKS speed loader
I guess it just depends on what you've trained with.

Beside, for the occasional range use, the Fobus will most likely do just fine... and holsters are kind of like purse for women... You'll most likely end up with more than one! So you can use this one as a reference point.
Personally I have never owned a fobus, as I am a leather guy. I did try a different holster once that was the hard plastic and it worked fine, but I wasn't pleased with the comfort and aesthetics of it. As for hks speed loaders, they work pretty good, but have a shorter lifespan in my opinion.

Ive had a fobus for my xd for 9 years, still going strong and works well. I had the same one for a 1911 i used once and gave away to someone i didn't like. Depends on the holster. Try it out adn see how it goes. The HKS work fine, and you can't beat the price. Safariland Comp II or III are faster but double the money.
