Has anyone tried to order the new VZ rails from Bonesteel Arms? They look like they might be interesting, I especially like the QD cups.

Anyone have any info?

I perordered a set when he first announced them in January. The first sets were supposed to be done late February but from what I understand he has put them on the back-burner for some other projects. Pretty disappointing.

I'm not sure about the legalities but I wouldn't mind shipping some up north whenever they do get rolling, pending some legal research of course.

Why buy a imitation when you can get the real thing right here in Canada?

I have three of your products on my three CZ rifles (just the upper handguard) as I didn't feel like getting the lower handguard and then have to spend a pile of more money for rails. The Bonesteel setup has a co-witness upper and then a properly railed lower. The NEA product is excellent, but the lower could have been better designed or the rails could also be included. This is where Bonesteel is going to do well.

This^

Ive bought and run quite a few NEA products over the years and they have always and i mean always been good kit.But i never understood why they did the separate rail thing with the newer lower.I mean i get the modularity part of it but to charge extra(30 bucks!) for each rail section. That was the day i ordered my BC tact rails and havent looked back since. Also i find the bottom rail to slim it doesn't match the aesthetics of the rifle.Im all for function over form, but when there are other companies offering BOTH function and form well.....

Ok...update

I called him to confirm that he wouldn't ship because of ITAR. He's currently looking for an exporter and is having discussions with a Canadian retailer, no names no pack drill. He said it might be a couple of months and come in under $200.

Like it was said above, the NEA rail seems to have great quality but lacking in certain features like a full railed lower and QD cups (I really like the QD cups on the Bonesteel).

I really like the looks of this one and hope that "The Retailer" brings them in.....you know who you are.

I just checked out the Bonesteel website. Nice rail. Also a variety of low priced muzzle brakes and flashiders for for the VZ.

Yup, the only reason why I never ordered that from NEA.

Weren't they supposed to come out with some sort of a quad rail......?
