I'm in the middle of a pre-moving cleanup and found a "Colyer Clip" in a box of stuff. "For Remington 700BDL bolt action". Anyone use/used one? To me it seems too high to fit right, but don't own a 700bdl nor any buddies.
Thanks
Clint

I've seen them for Remington pumps, but they don't feed or function very well. These weren't brand new ones though. They might be good when theyr'e new?

I've had a couple for the 700, quite different than anything they produced for the 760 and 742 series. I believe that the 700 floorplate was removed and the box "clip" was mounted in the mag well with the aid of a "U" shaped spring.

That's what it looks like to me. But the "U" shaped spring doesn't seem wide enough as compared to a floorplate. For the "clip" , yes.

Seem to function okay?

I bought one 35 years ago for my Remington 742 in 30-06, and it jammed constantly. A friend bought one at the same time for his 742 in .308, and it worked perfectly. When I bought a 760 in 30-06 I tried it out and it worked great in that gun.
