This one's been around the house for a while. Just decided to make a single point sling. If anyone needs one for a 1300 Defender (or any other shottie I suspect) all you need is $1.00 worth of strapping, some metel shears and some files to smooth out the edges. Will paint black soon. Cheers.

Thanks, just got lucky. The camera wasn't even on burst mode.
35-80mm real oddball lens, I don't like it but it isn't my camera so...
I went with the KISS principle.

* having a hard time getting five 2.75" rds in the tube, can't see it taking five 3" (although it's rated for 3").

Its chambered for 3" but usually when they give you a mag cap its with 2.75 shells,my m887 is chambered 3.5 and mag cap is stated as 7+1 but thats with 2.75

Here's my 870.
Bought a "870 Tactical" in 2009. It's a basic police model 870 except it came with the 2 shot extension, the XS ghost ring sights with the raised front sight and with the drilled and tapped receiver with the rail. Added all the other parts later on. I'm a short man at 5'7" and the telescoping AR-15 stock helps out a lot during competitive shooting when I'm wearing vests and/or heavy clothing...
Magpul came out with a line of 870 accessories. The grip angle on their new stock looks exactly like what I've been looking for. I love Magpul products and I've always wanted a new front end for my 870 and I'm part of the "tacticool" crowd (please don't hate!) so a Magpul stock and front end in FDE will be on my 870 soon... I'm keeping the telescoping stock and pistol grip so I'll have the maximum amount of options depending on what I'm doing with it. I also have an LEO top-folding stock if I really need the 870 to be short.
I'm looking for a red dot or holographic sight for it but there are so many out there. I don't have a lot of experience with different kinds and sizes so I'm still figuring out what kind of sight I really need for a 18.5" tacticool shotgun.

I put this one together from parts n bits I picked up. The 870 recever, knoxx stock and rhino rail I picked up on the ee here, the +2 mag extention was in the surplus room @ Milarm, I bought the 18" barrel new , the laser, holo sights and mbus are all from eBay.
Are you able to get a decent cheek weld and proper eye/alignment with that sight and stock set up?
Not sure if this is accetable as "tactical" but it sure works well and is easy to carry.
Dominion Arms 12.5" Hogue Tamer pistol grip, Fab Defense Foregrip, XS Site Systems Tritium Big Dot front site.
Built simply for close up defense for Bears and fits nicely in my internal scabered of my work pack vest.
