Help, I am in the market for a pistol and recently PM'ed a CGN and for pics of his HK P2000. It doesnt look right to me, I asked what was up with the pins in the slide and didnt get a response about it. all he PM'ed back is was I ready to send a EMT! Does this look right to you? ( i hope the pic works as its my 1st post with a pic) Thanks for looking

It looks like there is some rust on the top of the slide, and that the roll pin holding in the extractor has been removed a couple of times, probably for cleaning.....wouldn't worry me it if was a shooter and the price was good
 
The pins are fine, my P2000 looks exactly like that. The roll pins are part of the design. I'm not sure what the #### is around the pin closest to the rear sight, oil?

Bottom line, if he isn't answering all your questions, tell him to #### off and buy from someone else.
 
The pins were installed using a standard punch. If a roll pin punch was used the pin wouldn't be peened over a bit like in the picture. Left hand pin looks like there is a bit of rust on the slide. Strange that the seller didn't answer your question.
 
Thanks guys, he did say it was oil and he would take a better pic. I realy just wasn't sure about the pins that looked like someone just drilled and pounded them in. I did try to get some pics off the net of what a new one should look like but couldn't fine a good shot of it. I keep my stuff in mint condition and wouldn't want to get stuck with somthing that was less. Thanks again
 
Ahhh very nice Jackrabbit, yours don't stand out like a sore thumb because they dont look pounded in and sawed off with a hack saw lol, Thanks for the excellent pics!
