The reason MD Charlton don't 'do' Smith any more is that the guy the company is named after, doesn't work there any more. Murray wanted to concentrate on gunsmithing, the rest of the folks at MDC wanted to move away from retail guns. They still have some Smith stuff- largely leftovers, but it's mostly tactical gear in there now (which can be very handy). The guys at MD Charlton are still good to deal with for holsters, lights, boots etc. Murray set up down the street doing 'smithing, and selling reloading machines and components. As of 30 days ago he hadn't received his parts order from Smith (ordered seveal months ago) so if you have a revolver, he's likely to have parts, but for semi's - possibly not.
