Standard Winchester Featherweight or Remington Model Seven?

is there any room here to vote for a Browning A-bolt Micro Medallion or maybe a Hunter? if not, that's a-ok, I'll keep my eyes open for them to come along! ;)

If your Model Seven is an inch shorter in LOP you have a Youth model.

The Youth or Compact Model Seven has a 12-1/2" LOP

The standard Model Sevens are 13-1/2" LOP

ok, clear as bell, now. I had a Custom KS that was pretty short, but it's been gone now for a few years. My memory is fading rapidly, as well!

Featherweight hands down, has a real extractor and a real safety.

so does the Ruger M77.

Why not an M77 Compact? 5.75lbs in .308.

Not to hijack the OPs thread here, but my Model 7 has a LOP of 13 1/2 while all my other rifles (i.e. Ruger, Browning, Marlin) have a LOP closer to 14 1/2". Could it be that everyone is correct? Not sure what the question was. ;)

I would go model 70 featherweight. It has always been a favorite of mine and have shot several deer with it. Reliable and groups well at the range. Mine is in win .270
