Wow do i ever hate my XCR....

The rattle with the XCR isn't a flaw it's a feature.

Along with the new Hunter model in which parts known to come lose are now painted bright hunter orange. You can follow the parts back home. Never get lost again.

The one described here sounds like the new "Rattle snake" model. It's a special option for those using their non restricted XCR for hunting. Bear problems? Just rattle the thing a bit, and watch the bear leave as it fears there's a rattle snake in the area. Don't give your spot away by firing a round. Keep hunting.

Really you should be paying more for that. :D

I should add all in good fun. I am interested in the XCR-M and seeing reports regarding it. Not anti XCR.

"government issue military magazines". So what's the verdict on PMAGs, EMAGs, L5s, etc.?

This is also a great link for reading about magazine's.

http://magfaq.tripod.com/

Like what was said earlier, PMAGS and others made things better, but that does not change the fact that the design of the magazine's is and has always been the biggest problem with the AR platform.

So the OP has time for a LONG rant, but buzz off when it comes to answering questions like where it was purchased from, new or used, post videos, ...

Folks are interested to know if this is a QC/warranty issue or hidden agenda. People listen to your rant, now have some courtesy to answer legit questions to reveal the truth; till then you're just a bashing troll.

I agree, I would really like to know where and when it was purchased. I really do believe if he bought it from Wolverine then this will be handled. While not my first choice to take out the door, I believe the XCR to be a very nice rifle, and feel an explanation is in order.

Tolerance issues aren't necessarily the easiest to document unless they're glaringly obvious; more often than not it's a "feel" when handling. As has been pointed out, there have been lots of examples of other rifles with similar tolerance issues: Swiss Arms, ACR, AR - just to name a few.

There do seem to be a lot of inherent issues with the XCR - but there are also many owners who swear by it - so really, to each their own. It sounds like the OP really wanted a Swiss Arms anyway.

A long winded B!tch session cause you don't like the feel of something is pathetic. B!tching is easy, backing it up with facts is too much trouble.

"I don't like your face" said the bully :stirthepot2:

Perhaps this should be moved to Off Topics along with Trolls bashing the Swiss Arms ;)

PS. Dicks and other parts falling off the fracking XCR is a legitimate issue. Safety should be painted bright orange, NUFF SAID.

Already mentioned the Safety should be painted bright orange.
Not too happy about supplying my own locktite.
NOT happy with bit of "wobble" for a 2K+ rifle, would luv to get a warranty repair to make her tight.
Accurate enough to make 4 shoot groups that touches at 100m.
Luv the NR, wish it was price like AR15.
So... how's your XCR working out for you?

Seems to me the ops problems are glaringly obvious.

Wow dude you are either Alex Robinsions mistress or you have share's in the company.I really could give a s**t if YOU think its something minor.I dont, you dont have the rifle in front of you,i do.As i said earlier ive had 3 other people look at this gun, they ALL think that there is entirely way to much play between the upper and lower. These are all people that shoot AR's and are familiar with firearms.I really dont know what else to say other then GTFO now plz.I cant wait until you happen to one day make a post about a problem you are having with a particular gun.

Notice how the title of this post is ''Wow do i ever hate -MY- XCR'' key word being ''MY'' Did i say ''wow do i ever hate all the XCR's every made'' Seriously man get off my nut sack and find a friend. This is why i don't post much on this forum. You always get some know it all angst internet commando trying to jump down your throat. Its almost like a group of you sit on here 24/7 eating cheesy s and just counting the seconds until someone posts something you dont agree with.Wipe the sweat from your forehead, put the mountain dew down and relax man lol.

My XCR-L fits snug bettween the upper an lower, no play or rattle!
As for mags I have fired around 2k down range with the LAR-15 Pistol mags, MAGPUL 30rd and 20rd pinned to 5. Not one jam, FTE, or FTF...BUT the bolt catch broke after the 1500 mark! The rifle still worked but I could not lock back the bolt on the last round.

I emailed RA and Wolverine and it was quickly replaced in less than 5 days no questions asked. RA explained to me there was a batch incorrectly heat treated from their supplier.
IMO then they have sent out white paper to all dealers with the S/N range that could have been affected and mailed out replacements.

The best thing is IMO is take take pictures, just state the problem, do not add any extra rants and email the pics to Wolverine and RA. See why they say...

Wolverine is the Canuck Distributer so it's really best to deal with them direct. Even if you bought it from another dealer or EE I'm sure they can help you!

Ya Wolverine is top notch.Ive dealt with them a lot. This isn't their problem though.I did not purchase the rifle from them.Im not really asking for anyone to do anything.I was just posting about how pissed i was that a rifle in this price point, even though it was purchased used, should not IMO have the amount of slop that it does.Thats it.I dont expect RA or anyone else to send me some new upper or anything.I called them to see if there was a ''fix'' or after market roll pin they could sell me that would fix this issue. Was very politely told ''live with it'' In the end its nobodys fault but mine (for buying) and RA for ####ting the bed on the QC.Like i said before a quick search shows im not the only person that has had these extreme cases of fitment issues. Not even close.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the play in your rifle must be coming from the pivot point wich means its either an out of spec pivot pin/holes or a prior (or current) user abuse. In the prior case dealing with Wolverine to solve the issue would be best. In the latter case you either bought someone's abused rifle or you dicked it up yourself, wich is really sad but happens surprisingly often with xcrs. The upper being about 2 millimeters wider then the lower on the left side, bubbas often will think this a default and try "torquing" the upper to the right to center it. Anyways hope you figure it out.

BAHHAHAHAHAHAHA oh man that's awesome. If you think this is bad whatever you do don't post anything about a problem with a Glock.

I believe you are correct and that it is a issue to due with the front pin.I cant speak on the previous owners treatment but from the looks of the rifle(looks like brand new not a scratch on it) I highly doubt it was due to him.I noticed this issue the second i picked it up out of the box.Never had the time to mistreat it yet lol. From searches online ive found a bunch of other people with this same issue,on brand new guns though. From what they could tell the front pin was out of spec and not the proper dia.Infact when i was speaking to RA they directed me to a post where the guy had to buy a 5/16 drill bit and have it turned down to the proper spec to correct the issue.Whats next? they will send you a roll of tuck tape,a used drill bit and a paper clip with your rifle?

I feel you I experienced the same kind of frustration dealing directly with some manufacturers. Dealers are much friendlier and helpful. Even if you bought it used Wolverine is the "only" importer and I am inclined given their excellent customer service record to think they would genuinely try to help you fix your problem. Give them a shout, you have nothing to lose.
