hi there i was just wondering if there are any competitions using handguns where you shoot at targets and count the scores nothing hardcore s i am pretty new. i would like to know info about about this in lower mainland/fraser valley. thank you in advance. i own both a revolver and pistol if that helps.
another question is that how far away are the targets usually located in competitions and what size are they ? like (19x23???) or ??? thanks guys much appreciated help.

abby fish and game, this week practice is thursday and then it will be tuesday for every other week

thank you, i checked their website and checked the rules for steel and i guess i need to go and buy a magazine or two and practice a bit more as i suck lol plus kinda busy 4 now but would love to join in soon. thank you once again for your help heavenisalie and i do hope to see you there and learn from you.

for practice we dont require any number of mags, someone will reload yours for you if you dont have enough (i only have 4 personally)

several people that come out every week have just bought their first gun within the last month so dont worry about being new, and there are lots of very experienced people there to ask for tips

thanks but i only have 2 for my cz. while i am at it might as well ask another question nd that is how much ammo can i expect to go per practice. thanks again much appreciated help

I'm probably the one that HeavenIsALie is talking about. I Just got my first gun less then a month ago and have been to the last 3-4 steel challenges. I am very new to shooting in general.

I can tell you that this was probably the best thing I have done:cool:. Lots of knowledgable and helpful people there along with a few new guys every so often.

I have shot between 150-250rnds each time. And don't worry about not being a great shot. Just go after me and you'll look like a pro;)

What they both said.

Also as far as mags go there are plenty of people shooting CZ's who would let you use an extra mag or two. Steel is a lot of fun and as Maverik says it's great for newer shooters to just get out and have some fun.

Or atleast make you look like a pro lol :) i ll try to make it in for next week

less promoting your stuff and more promoting practice so i can pay back that loan for the steel :p

there is more than just maverick with their first pistol, i can think of 3 off hand

I'm only on my second.. does that count??

Skills and Drills will teach you a ton, so clearly you need to do both. I do and never regret a second of it (until I look at my bank statement)...
