Any idea how to remove and replace CZ 85 Combat adjustable rearsight. I saw some write ups suggesting that there is a small set-screw holding this rear sight. Another guy suggests to slide it out using a brass pin punch pushing from left to right facing the hammer. But if there is indeed a set screw, finish will be screwed, big time.

The sight does gout out to the right. I think you will need a brass punch and need to put the slide in a padded vice to hold it while you tap the sight out to the right. I just looked at the one that came off my 85 Combat and I don't see a set screw but you might want to make sure the screw that controls the elevation is not caught on the slide and holding the sight against the slide but I think it should clear it.

Just my curiosity, why are you replacing it?

Better sight picture. It is definitely usable but I find it not as rigid as a tactical sight. By the way, is this a NOVAK cut sight? Or a profile cut specific to CZ? There is not much available out there other than those from CZ custom. Some of them are interchangeable but most requires minor fitting by a qualified gunsmith.

here is a picture from CZ Custom in the states. shows different cuts for CZ sights.
