300 BLK AR15 Barrels

I am looking for a high quality 16" 300 BLK barrel.

Would prefer Noveske but it seems the only supplier of those only sells them with 600 dollars of stuff I don't need attached to them.

If anybody knows of any suppliers of high quality 300 BLK AR15 barrels it would be greatly appreciated

I'm by no means an expert on the subject, but have read enough to be dangerous!!

I would caution against saying they are exactly the same. The 300BLK is a SAAMI cartridge meant to fire out of the matching SAAMI chamber. Although 300Whisper will fit and fire out of the chamber, there are only a few that have been "approved" for safe use.

From what I have read (again, not an expert), the 300BLK should not be fired out of a 300Whisper chamber, as it can be loaded to much higher pressures.

Just don't want to see anyone get blown up from advice they received on 'nutz.

I aren't quite the same as Allen mentioned. Most of the Whisper ammo is also underpowered compared to 300 Blackout ammo. Hornady 300 Whisper is a good example of this.

The primary difference between the two is in the throat. The BLK has a longer leade to accommodate hotter supersonic ammo. For subsonic use there is no appriciable difference.

I have both 30-221 chamber and a BLK chambered rifles and unload ammo for both using an original set of SSK Whisper dies. Everything works just fine because the specs for all are very close.

Its exactly exactly the same but different Bottom line buy a barrel chambered for 300 blackout and you will be good to go regardless.
