S&W M&P warranty

Most likely:

WORTNER GUN WORK INC.

433 QUEEN ST BOX 411

CHATHAM, ONTARIO CANADA N7M5K5

519-352-0924

That's what S&W e-mailed me. North Sylva or Wortner. It won't matter either way because the bottle neck is S&W.

I'm waiting for a frame tool (It broke when I tried to remove it for the first time) and a rear low mount Novak sight (It was marred when I received my new M&P9 Pro). Jeff from North Sylva placed an order immediately. Now I wait for S&W.

P.S. It looks like you might not need this information, I see you're selling a M&P40. Never fired? lol, right...

It is never fired. I am not a full member of the club and still waiting for the ATT. I can't take it out to the range. You know that stores are easily say say "never fired/brand new" as well. If you can tell the difference between never fired and fired gun, I challenge you to inspect mine. You gotta buy the gun if it proven never fired though. Up for the challenge?

I have more guns not jut the MP 40.

It was, in fact, Wortner.

I could accept that S&W may be the bottleneck in some cases but North Sylva has been less than helpful with another issue I had with my ISSC so I am assuming it is they who have been dropping the ball on my spring and extractor. I might be wrong. But 7 months?

Are you not well? I was providing information you requested and making a slight joke at the end, which you've tried to turn into a big deal. Why so defensive?

I'm not up for anything. Good luck with the sale.

P.S. I could have won your pistol easily. S&W test fires all M&P's, so I know for fact that it has been fired. LMAO.

See the thing about forum is you never really can tell the emotion of the other people. Whether they are upset, sad, happy, and etc. You are just looking at words. Sometime people put emoticon to let the other people know how they feel, even though it could be not the right state of emotion.

After all of that.....I am not upset as you think, bud. Please don't think I was upset or anything. I was just challenging you to prove that it has not been fired BY ME.

I am selling the gun brand new from a store never fired BY ME. Specific enough for ya? :)

Back to the original topic...

Having owned S&W in the past I think they do a decent job with regards to customer service. When my frame tool broke on my first M&P45 they just sent two or three directly to me from the factory. Now they claim importation rules make it impossible nowadays.

Every year it seems to get more difficult for legal gun owners to service, maintain, and enjoy their hobby.

Sorry, I don't swing that way! Not that there's anything wrong with that :D (Better?)

Sorry I didn't mean it that way. You were humping at the wrong tree. This tree is straight. Not that there is anything wrong with it LOL

I hope you don't think in ###ual way everytime a man is giving you a hug, or you are going to have hard time every holiday around your family members. :p

I don't hug the men in my family, a handshake seems to work.

Anyways, I'm done. I don't have the energy to continue this stupid volley of commentary. You took offence to something very small and somehow dragged me into a pissing match.

Have a nice life.

well ok Mr.I don't hug men in my family lol

Never took any offence and like I said from beginning you took it wrong way.

No hard feeling, bud.

Going on 3 months now for myself with waiting for S&W to send me the replacement bolt assembly for my 15-22...if only I could just order the freakin parts myself I would hapily whip out the Visa card even though I shouldn't have to do this.

Exactly! I can't even find a source to BUY a M&P 40 mag catch to replace the defective one!

1) Thanks for the links.
2) Have you ever dealt with Brownells and is their shipping reasonable? Costa would cost $ 50US total with shipping!

I've dealt with Brownells many times. Their price is so much better than Canadian prices. For an example, I paid less than $40 shipping included for a fake can where they sell it for $69(shipping not included) here in Canada

When you the choose shipping option at Brownells make sure you choose Parcel Post Priority. That is the lowest option. Don't choose UPS or you will get ding for a brokerage fee which an additional fee on top of the shipping fee.
When I placed orders on Brownells I only paid shipping less than $8 for total merchandise of less than $50-$60 dollars. Once again it depends how big and heavy your item is.

You need to be aware that sometime CBS could open your package and ding you for HST plus $8.50. However, I placed 5 orders so far with Brownells and only one of the order got dingged by CBS. Overall, I still saved good amount of money compare to if I was to shop from Canadian retailers. ;)

My 2 cents.

Well after a weekend sent at the range watching a few people plink happily away with their M&P 15-22's amongst other .22's and knowing mine still sits in it's safe with busted bolt and blown out extractor waiting on the S&W warranty folks to get their squash together and ship some parts north so I can get sorted and back up and running...I've done some research.

Found the email address for the CEO of S&W and have sent off a note to him and his lead customer service rep who (the rep) had replied to one of my inquiries last month on where things sit on their end.

We'll see if Mr. Debney (S&W CEO) responds...I know I'm just one customer but three freaking months to get a bolt shipped is to me ridiculous. First time I've had to deal with warranty stuff when it comes to firearms so not sure if this is reasonable amount of time or not.

Now the guys at North Sylva (specifically Jeff C.) have been doing their best but clearly we are a small market and not a huge priority for S&W in terms of providing timely service for warranty work.

Last update I got from Jeff at North Sylva was as follows

Last communication I got was last week saying they were working on the DSP-837 (?) forms for export clearance with state department.

Anyone know how long this takes once those forms are in place to actually export? Sorry for the rant very frustrated...

M&P 15-22 poor quality

I am having the same issue with my bolt. I sent it to North Sylva back in Sept 2011, going on 7 months now. And... to top it off, this is the second time I have had to send it in for repair. I called Jeff a few days ago, he said that they are still waiting for parts from S&W.
On the bright side, my trusty 10/22 that I have had for 30+ years is still working 100%
Devlin, what is the CEO's e-mail? Maybe if we all send him a note.......
S&W doesn't seem to realize that is easier and cheaper to KEEP a customer than it is to try and buy them back

First off, I'll start by saying Jeff at North Sylvia has been very prompt with replies.

I just wonder what is happening with these warranty issues.
I made a request for an M&P40 mag catch warranty replacement in early February and am still waiting for it.

So I got tired of waiting after about a month and contacted Wortners. They informed me that they didn't have the part in stock but said they would mail one out to me asap. I received the part inside 2 weeks!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO WORTNERS!
