Okay you LR lovers:

A limited calendar is out at the ORA website: www.ontariorifleassociation.ca

And these are the dates (everything is tentative, of course) we have so far:

08 July Sun PR Match
09 Sep Sun PR Match 200-800 yards 0700-1600 Mons Range
07 Oct Sun PR Match 200-800 yards 0700-1600 Mons Range

Rules, Guidelines, Procedures, Equipment information can be found here:

http://www.ontariorifleassociation.ca/node/80

Contact the Match Director.... Head over to that link above this line. There is an email link at the ORA website, Precision Rifle discipline area.

Now, I will get more information from the Match Directors for Target Rifle for me to post them up here. I will probably make mistakes so I better get them to help me out!

You know, that little calendar schedule leaves a bit to be desired.

I believe that website will be blown up shortly and a new and improve one will be in it's place. I liked the old style list from the old web page. All the dates , all the places and all the times on one sheet.

Someone might want to mention to them to maybe not put people's pictures and full names on the public access portion of the site... just a thought.

This has been discussed at length in Coucil Meetings. I believe there is also a release form with the membership renewal package.

The password protected part of the website will be gone. It was a PITA and some people never could get access not matter how many accounts or new passwords they were given.

All results will have public access, but don't get your panties in a twist yet:p
For Service Conditions, CQB and Precision Rifle an alias will be used or first name and last initial. If you would like to know my personal thought on this drop me a PM.

The results from other disciplines will be posted with full name.

You can get on the WWW and find out results (sometimes in realtime) from Australia, England, Pam-Am games, Olympics, CISM and World Cup events. All other provinces and countries post result.

Well Bob, call me old fashioned but sometimes "New and Improved" is just "New". The old web page showed a event schedule from the start of the season to the end. It showed if it was a match or a practice, where it was being held, match organizer or contact person and distance that may be shot. At one glance you could pick and choose between a 300 yard practice at Cedar Springs or a 1000 yard Match in Borden. No clicky.

If something was changed or cancelled it could be seen right away. No clicky.

I think you could even contact the event organizer via email by clicking their name. As a match organizer this was kind of handy, so I could hire enough markers for the day, if I knew ahead of time that they were coming .

Could swear I couldn't see it earlier, thanks.

Any chance of anything sooner, just bought my first precision rifle and would love to learn how to shoot it correctly.

It sounds like that thing is ready to go off in your pants:p
The Intro Days are very informative, well planned and very good for a new shooter to take, in order to find out just what the ORA is about. Intro Days are not a MUST ATTEND to become a member. You may join at any time or attend a practice day and pay the guest fee.

I just put up the info I am supplied, there are no match directors names to link to as the info is not supplied. If you would like a copy I can send it to you.

Have you tried clicking on the month at the top of the small calendar on the home page? When you do, the calendar expands and you can see the events for the whole month. Then you can hit the arrows to change you view from month to month. From your post above it seems like you might not be doing that. I could be interpreting your post incorrectly. No offense intended if I am.

Um, we also seem to be spending a lot of time talking about a topic that is not related to Long Range Shooting competitions in this thread. (Guilty as charged here). Perhaps we should get back to the forum specific topic.

Holy crap Bolivar, I learned something new. I didn't know by clicking the top of the calendar would make it bigger and easier to read. For the last couple years I have been pissed at having to click each day to see what's going on and where.

I'm coming to hate being old. Month by month is a lot better than day by day.
Seeing the whole season at once would be better yet.....
