Just got it installed and put ~100 rnds through it. Awesome.

The look and feel are very nice. Solid construction. Looks nice IMO. I like the very forward posture of the piece.

Functionality wise it's great. Feed everything but one round which took a quick pull on the bolt to fix. That mis feed was mag induced though cause i bent a lip throwing them around. leatherman fixed the mag.

Pros: 10 rounds = very relaxing. much better for drills [ie. 3 gun etc]

Mags are nice and low profile

Cons: Mags are nice and low profile. So low pro that they are hard to get in and out of carriers. I'm waiting for that guy to make the polymer extension for them so they fit in real gear.

I might dremmel up a tapco mag body and see what i can get.

Did you ever get that TAR sorted out? I was looking and you need a twist/clamp type of wrench to easily remove that Flash hider. I'm thinking it might be loctited on tho so heat it a bit.

I'm guessing the mag release pivots in the middle when you press the front?

I'm going to have to figure out something to do with it when mine gets here. It's fricken' terrible.
 
yeah ill get some better lit ones once i get a minute. The pivoting mag release isnt that bad. The thumb placement is good when doing mag removal. I wish it were ambi though.

Are there any couplers available that will work with these 7.69x39 XCR magazines with the angled bottoms?
 
Found rubber mag sleeves and poped some wood in the bottom and taped the mag to that. Great mag extender on the super cheap. now i have full AR size mags that fit in my taco pouches and look boss in the unit. Ill post pics asap. Photobucket is a new thing for me.

mag sleeves cost 11$. paid myself 20$ for labour and wood. 3 crispy long mags.

Fixed it up with a bad ass CTR stock courtesy of TVPRessPass, Covered the whole thing in locktite, rock and roll. Also you really need to loctite all the pins and #### in the B&T adapter. Those ####ers do not like it when the gun shoots.

Really? My pins went in pretty tight and don't show any signs of backing out. I'll keep an eye on them though.

I seated the baby LAR 10rounders in a sleeve with a piece of wood taped to the bottom. Now I have mags that fill out my taco pouches. the sleeves are very tactile and have a nice positive grip on them. The bottoms are thicker and absorb a bit of shock when dropped free. Someone said they prevent your hand from getting cut on GI Mags. I was thinking "your hands are too soft."

Yeah I think I needed to bash the piss out of mine a bit more. But now im loctite paranoid after the stock adapter seating came a bit loose. still functional and good to shoot in a pinch. but having the CTR is so worth it. Such a nice feel. I really feel like ive got the rifle 'wrapped up' in the chest forward stance. Plus getting my eye closer to the rear sight really helps.

Range Report:

~150 rnds of green czech the kind in square boxes where you need the can opener.

1 feeding problem drove a round up into the top of the bore and split the bullet jacket. Only happened once though. Got a couple light strikes but thats an issue with my pin. gotta get it checked.

Tried some support hand operation and it went good. Reaching with the right hand index finger to remove the mag is easy and the bolt release with the firing hand is access city.

As far as me being awesome I did ok. Best performance was a 1 inch target at 15 yrds that I hit with a support side shot. With my wacky eyes thats a big win. Really has little to do with the mag adapter but I rarely shoot worth a #### so im bragging today. Thats why i need 10 rounders. Kyle Lamb says its 1 mag per bad guy, so in my case thats like all 3 mags and I have to get out the bayonet.
