Looking to turn my 870 express into a tac shotgun. Wondering if anyone could help me as to where the best place is to buy some parts.

Looking for a Blackhawk knoxx recoil reducing stock, 18.5" barrel with adjustable sights of some sort, side saddle and not sure about the foregrip yet.

Any help would be awesome and I will reward with pictures for the help haha.

Check out the Mesa Tactical recoil reducing butt stock. I've tried both the blackhawk knoxx & mesa... Mesa is hands a better stock & more asthetically pleasing.

I went with the Surefire foregrip & a tac star side saddle. Love it all.
 
I've got an 870 Express Tactical that I put a Mesa Tactical recoil reducing stock on, Surefire forend, Vang Comp oversized safety, solid plastic spring follower, and a TacStar side saddle. I like it so far....

I figure 6+1, and 4 on the side are good for bear/cougar defense...

PS....if you want to go with an oversized safety, you won't be able to use the Blackhawk Knoxx stock due to the way everything moves. They warn about it in the instructions.
 
Vang Comp jumbo safety makes a huge difference i found... for such a small part, i found i was able to come off safe a lot faster and easier than with the stock safety... i've got the mesa side-saddles on too and they're really well designed, especially with the nice backing, it won't ruin the finish later on down the road... my plan is to put a mesa stock, either the collapsible or the urbino stock... haven't 100% decided yet...

The NEA stock adapter isn't bad either, but you need to supply your own stock, tube and grip... so you don't really save much in the end, unless you've got some surplus bits from an AR build... or from EE
 
Thanks for your info and help so far guys. What about barrels? I am looking for 18.5" barrel but don't want a plain bead sight, looking for adjustable sights of some sort. Any ideas for me? thanks

Go with the 18.5" barrel but look into ghost ring sights. Makes for very fast target acquistion. Mine came standard & with a pictiny rail ontop of the receiver too. I recently put on a burris fast fire II. Haven't been able to get to the range lately to zero it but I know I'm going to enjoy it.

Excuse my stupidity on the matter... but can i buy a regular 18.5" barrel and then just add a front adjustable sight?
 
You can also hit up Casey at TacOrd for some of the Vang Comp ghost ring sights, they can come with a pic rail too so you can mount an optic on it as well, also you can get a the vang comp front sight welded on, i think you just have to ship your 870 to him... i guess it depends on how much you're willing to spend on this stuff too...

Our stock adapters come bundled with a grip now at no charge.

We have stocks always available.
