I would also like to see DNA testing to be sure because it does resemble a wolf to me also, but, don't forget that the Eastern Coyote (which is what we have in Atlantic Canada) is a Coyote - Wolf hybrid, they do resemble wolves and get much bigger then they're western cousin, though this one being 82 lbs I really would like to see some DNA testing, which I think will be done.
The telegram piece says that wildlife has taken some blood and hair samples so it looks like we'll know for sure soon, either way I'll still be amazed, we haven't had wolves here for many years and the ones we did have were white wolves, so we'll have to wait and see.
My money is on Eastern Coyote (Coyote Wolf Hybrid)
