My cat's a genius

Frankly, how people feel about the Norinco is their own business, this is a cat that already owns a Sig P210 - the cat knows quality, so if the cat already owns a Sig 210, and the cat thinks the Norc is a decent gun, odds are that the cat has a clue about what it's talking about. I'd still be leery of an armed cat though - at least as leery of an armed cat as I am a hunting Pug with a shotgun, or a Chihuahua carrying Mexican style.

Trust me, Fluffy really knows her guns. She even ordered a Tactical Operations F-51 behind my back. ( Yes, the "F"stands for Fluffy)

Wow, you paid 175 for just the frame. You got ripped off hard my friend. Ive seen mint Springfield 1911`s sell for cheaper than what your Norinco cost after building it up. Each to his own I suppose.

And your springfield is cast junk from the Philippines!

The guy or his ####ing cat obviously have the money to buy whatever the #### they like. Do you know how much the Luger, and 210 cost?

And your talking about a Springfield? WTF?

Go away troll!

They are checkered rosewood. Now ealier this year, Fluffy picked up a Ruger Blackhawk convertible and outfitted it with a set of walrus ivory grips.

One of Fluffy's favorite pistols is her Lahti L-35. There were only 9300 of these ever made. Hers is serial number 92XX. It is within 20 digits of the end.

See her pistol pictured her with the P-210.

Some folks can't see the forest for the trees and drink too much of the koolaid and commercialism...

Some folks don't want to mess around working on guns, I can understand that. But those same folks shouldn't be so quick to $hit on some of the Norinco products...
That's one I spent alot of time with. It's had just about everything done to it internally to enhance reliability as per Jerry Kuhnhausen's 1911 book. On the outside I spent many hours in front of the bench buffer and dremel buffers. Hand cut front strap checkering courtesy of a buddy of mine (8 hours in total for that) and likely close to 8 hours by me with the buffers. I've used the original forged parts rather than switch them out for Wilson Combat castings like I did on the Colt ;) CZ grips and the S&A magwell were the only things I've added to this Norinco. You will not find a sharp edge nor a machine mark on the outside of this gun. I finished it with a black parkerize.
This Norinco has been absolutely flawless in function, both before and after I worked it. I wish I could say the same of my beautiful Colt ;) The issue with the Colt as far as I'm concerned is an out of spec frame/feed ramp. I beleive it would require machining to the frame to address the issue with this gun. It was manufactured in the late 80's to early 90's, bought by me barely used in 1994. The Colt is factory bright stainless finish. I've had reliability issued with it since I've owned it. It wears CZ grips, Chip Mcormick match hammer & sear, Dlask trigger, Wilson Combat grip safety (I polished to match), BarSto match barrel & bushing, full lenth guide rod.
The Norinco may not shoot as tight of group as the my Colt but it could be made to do so and reliability has been perfect :)
I can certainly appreciate fluffy's or pittles, or whatever the cat's name is Norinco. If anyone has apportunity to actually work on or work with Norinco frames & parts they will appreciate what they are. I have seen first hand the difference between these parts and the Wilson Combat grip safety I polished and fitted to my Colt ;)

So you spent all that time money and effort fixing up a POS to make it a glitter rolled turd when you could have turned around and bought a new Colt with everything you wanted for $1300????

Yes you are right. The Colt is a great value for $1300. For $1300 they give you a metal injected molded sear, disconnetor, magazine release and magazine catch. And cheap powdered metal is of much higher quality than the bar stock parts used by the Chinese.

Colt also gives you a plastic mainspring housing and a stamped steel firing pin stop. Anyone who would spend good money on a small-arms swindle like that is a dope.

Clearly my cat is smarter than you.

Here is my cat's 1911. It is a Norinco that contains a Cylinder and Slide hammer set. The disconnector, sear and hammer are all made of hardened bar stock. In fact each part comes with a Rockwell hardness certificate.

Fluffy's pistol also has an Evolution Gun Works bar stock magazine release assembly and an Ed Brown extended thumb safety.

The piece wears proper double diamond walnut grips together with fire blued grip screws as an added touch.

The pistol is superbly reliable and is far better than any out of the box modern Colt. And it cost less than $1300 to build.

Just made my day!:p

Nice cat gun. I bought my gerbils matching ruger gp100s, but the trigger was too much on double action, and I felt like an idiot cocking the guns for them at the range. Now I shoot them, and they don't seem to mind. I'm buying a rifle for my horse next month. Like I said to my wife: "I haven't bought myself any guns for quite some time." None of my cats shoot, but one likes expensive booze, and another leaves #### cookies on our computer.

I always wondered where those #### cookies came from that are on my computer.

You guys are rich, this has to be one of the best threads I have ever read or joined in on. Keep it going.

Also for the guys who don't get it, that is your problem.

Kittens are serious business,

I am being held hostage by Elmo, he is about 5 months old and senses his impending neutering. He won't let me leave the house.

He has also demanded I use my cc to purchase him an XD-9 to go with his 1911, but he had trouble deciding between Glock 17 or XD-9. Then he saw a pic of a Ruger SR-9 and found one for $300 and insisted on the Ruger AND either the XD-9 or Glock 17.

Look at the sinister look in his eyes, any day now, I will die.

Notice the excellent trigger control, he isn't ready to the the deed yet.
