Anyone know the age of this one? Serial # 27085XX Or does anyone own one? what do you think of them?

If the Ser.# ends with C then it was made in 1955 as in this link:

I have an old 1911 made in 1917 not an A1 but it is a shooter,just put a new barrel on it and it is pretty accurate.

I have had two of the 1991a1 pistols and I still have one remaining. Excellent pistol. My favorite handgun.

IIRC, the Colt 1991A1 series serial number range started off where the last production serial number range of the GI pistols at the end of WWII left off, so in the 2,7XX,### range.

And all numbers with no letters in the serial number.
