Does anyone own one of these Mesa receiver sling mounts?

few questions:

1. do they work OK?
2. does the mount scratch the sh*t out of your receiver as it rotates?
3. does the bolt come undone easily? i assume it needs to be loctited but any issues with them threading out from use?

many thanks. im a huge fan of sling plates and would much prefer one, but this time i need a sling mount that will clear an LEO topfolder. open to other suggestions as well.

No experience with it, but I'm guessing that oval rubber thing behind the washer in your first pic is a buffer to avoid scratches from question 2.

i guess whoever took the photo had it in the wrong 'order'. has some white layer at the back: perhaps its meant to stick onto the back of the sling loop.

the whole setup just looks so 'bubba' to me
if there was a sling plate with the loop down low where it wouldnt interfere with a top-folder id be all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake

Yeah, it looks like the same material they have to stick on the back of your shell carrier to avoid marring your receiver. I'm surprised no one has replicated the top folder with a QD cup built in. You can't be the only one who's looked.

im surprised noone has replicated the top folder, period (or the holy grail of the 870 world: the USMC mk 1 mag clamp/bayo mount).
the plastic ATI version is a POS, and the choate is a total abortion.

here is another option i just discovered:

that is an aftermarket mod, looks like he just drilled through it and mounted a swivel.

can ammo had an offer out that if someone donated a LEO top folder, they could send it to china for reproduction. However, they are so rare that no one wants to give one up for copying.

the reason they are not made anymore is because of bad cheek weld (I dont mind though)
