Just how inaccurate are the tavors?

yeah, pretty much the same, I do have to point out that both my XCR's are setup shooting Czech surplus.

Thanks for the response; is there czech surplus 5.56 I dont know about out there, or are you comparing 7.62x39 out of the XCR vs. Tavor in 5.56?

If your making 500 yard shots on coyotes in Alberta, bring the proper tool for the job. A bullpup with an Eo-tech is not the proper tool for that job.

I want what you're smoking.

I do prefer the Eotech but....

Keep in mind there are three variations of the M21. 1) the old 6moa dot thing with proprietary mount, 2) Newer 1 moa dot bullseye reticle with proprietary mount and 3) Newer bullseye reticle with quick release for picitiny standard. Those of us with the last one tend to like them. While I do prefer my Eotech 553 it's very hard to get and very expensive. Also it doesn't suit the tavor as well due to the charging handle.

The last ones have an Eotech copy reticle. 1moa dot in the middle, 65moa circle. They also have quick release mounts that work on any picitiny rail. The only flaw is the dark to light with the reticle fading out. But otherwise it allows you to not hit your hand when using the charging handle on CX4 storm, RFB, Tavor. Also no batteries.

If one were so inclined in the home defence crowd, a M21 on a storm might be a better idea. No batteries, nothing to turn on or off.

I personally think the latest M21 gets a negative reputation that's not really deserved. I have another one on my Armalite AR15 16" police carbine. It looks right with the Fab defence stock. Israeli style :D.

For a service rifle the accuracy is fine, I think the biggest problem users are having is with their own inability to adept to the different trigger. If people are having terrible accuracy, I would assume it is more a user problem not the rifle.

Considering the type of rifle it is, mine is more then accurate enough.

Tavor's have the capability to shoot excellent groups. I think the problem is the stock 18.7" barrel. With this barrel, I am getting 2-3" groups at 100. With the 14" barrel, I can regularly get 1-1.5" groups, even with crap MFS ammo.

I wonder if IWI gave us the reject pile barrels for the special Canadian Tavors.
