pistol importation

Can anybody recommend a company or individual that can help facilitate importation from the states? a buddy of mine from Texas wants to get rid of his Akai Shogun Race gun with a very reasonable price. I am thinking of contacting Buffalo Gun Center, but I am not sure if they do for a private sale. your feedback is highly appreciated.

I've never heard anything but high praise and strong recomendations for Prophet River's import service - that's so freaking rare around here that they must be saints.

Do they not do handguns? it only mentions rifles and shotguns on their site...

I dealt with Joel at Borderview International Firearm Logistics - he is in Washington State (formerly with Dave's guns - who used to be a site supporter) - their cost is $249 for the first gun and $100 for each additional gun. There are also US taxes and you have to pay GST/HST and shipping.

Was a good experience although it takes a while for the paperwork to get done.

Another option is Saskatoon Gunworks, they work with an outfit in the states that can purchase guns, parts, send guns to custom smiths, then import to Canada. Very prompt trouble free service.
