Hey guys,

Ordering one tomorrow and i am stuck on whether to order the tactical or standard pistol, also wood or just black grips. Let me know what you think.

Cheers,

Gunner

Myself I prefer the standard with wood grips. But, nobody can tell you what you like yourself.

I know i'm just all over the place... the rail doesn't really make any sense as its a 22, but its only a couple bucks more. Just wanted to be pushed over the edge... i'm leaning towards just standard black and ill buy some grips for it.

I'd go with the black grips and no rail. Don't think there's much need for a rail on these guns. I had both (with out the rail) and both were very nice looking. Can't go wrong with either.

go for the tactical, after it's better :) that and the fake can is fun looking, mess with some people at the range with some subsonics?

I went with the standard model c/w ArmCo trigger job. No regrets what so ever. Don't need a can and don't need a rail.

THe rail is removeable if you dont like it. I kinda like the option of a rail, you never know lol.

If fake surpressors are your thing then it's a no brainer. I went with the tactical myself

I love this picture of Dilligaf's GSG 1911 that he had arma-coated.

that said, I just put a deposit down on this Browning 100 year anniversary edition 1911-22-A1. aside from shooting .22LR, it's also interesting to note that this particular clone is approximately 75% the size of the actual 1911. I don't mind this as I have smaller hands. :)

Gsg 1911 .22

When they first came out I went for the standard one with the double diamond checkered grips. I've since switched out the grips for some soft Hoque panels.

I have thought about picking up a second GSG & if I do I will go for the rail model, black grips, fake can etc. Just to be different. I am happy with my choice in the first instance, though.

Get the one that most appeals to you. ;)

NAA.

I never saw the attraction to a "fake can", which is something that is non-functional and just for looks. Save your money and buy the base model. You can always upgrade the grips later on. I think the fake can and rail is a waste of money, but to you it might be the greatest thing since sliced cheese. Your decision.

Just ordered the gun, ended up ordering the base model with the wood grips. Now the waiting game begins.

I'm thinking of picking up this 1911 soon, but I'm wondering if you can put the rail on the base model? (I'm not a fan of the fake can at all, but I wouldnt mind the option of a rail)
