DD rail tools

Hello everyone, I just bought a DD omega X rail, and i want to get the special wrench to install the new barrel nut. I have the new nut version i think, with 4 circular holes on it.

Does anyone of you know were can i order a tool to install it?

I just called Daniel Defense and they sent me the wrench for my D&D Omega X rail free of charge. It's supposed to come with the rail... Give them a call.

No prob, glad I could help.

One install tip though,

Torque up in small increments, 5 ft/lbs at a time. Start at 50ft/lbs

I got 70ft/lbs total out of mine.

Also go easy on the wrench, make sure you are perfectly aligned with the torque wrench. The material isn't the strongest and if you're not careful you could bend or break the D&D wrench.

I use barrel vise blocks made from aluminum, but ya wood blocks would do the trick in a pinch...

A good quality spanner wrench is much stronger and easier to torque then the dd wrench I have found

I'd talk to a Mac tools or snap on they are commonly used for adjusting suspension components. The ones I have I believe are Mac

Yes that is what D&D told me as well...



Don't buy an expensive Mac tool, just hang tight for the D&D wrench, it works just fine... Hand tight the nut on for now and finish mock up of your rifle at least... Took about 7 business days for my wrench to show up..

Yes, the wrench should be in the box with the rail.

However DD is run by humans as well and not every box gets a wrench in it. We order a couple extra on some of our DD orders with rails to make sure we can supply it when this happens.

IIRC the wrench is under $10 so dealers selling it for $30+ is brutal.

We'll provide it for free for any rails we sell that don't come with one. We usually try to check the box before hand but again, we're human to and that doesn't always happen.
