Beware US antique gun seller - FairFaxx

As far as I'm concerned I would not buy from him ever again, but having said that if I had some protection like dingus has I would consider giving a real low bid on a gun that he has no reserve price on and I could get a sweet deal on. But I don't have the expertise that dingus has and would probably get burned again. I dont see the problem if someone really knows his guns and can make a buck on Hamels back then all the power to him, though I'd rather see Hamel on fire but thats my opinion and I only got burned once on a real cheap gun if it could still be called a gun. I think you guys all know dingus reputation and I dont think he should be flamed if he seen an opertunity to make a safe purchase as he has protection in the US. and he can take a POS and turn it into a shooting firearm.

If you have an address on Leo I'll be happy to visit him. I travel to the US regularly. Perhaps an in-your-face encounter will convince him to keep his sh%^$ together. Offer stands. I don't think your friendly local RCMP dude is going to help you much.

there is a easy and very satisfying way to deal with this , go on vacation and visit him .

and during your visit he may slip and fall , and since your such a kind a loving canadian , you help him back up ...

then whoopps he falls again ( must have been that canadian beer you brought with you ) .
then you nicely help him up again .
then he accidently runs head first into a wall , trying to dodge a large black " moose like creature " .... ( must have been all the previous blows to the head )

and he continues to fall until you get all your money back ... then if he is nice about it , you help him to the hospital of his choice .

Sounds like a nice way to spend 4-6 months in jail and then get deported.

I bought a few antiques from Leo. No problems. Descriptions were accurate and he shipped in good time. Sent me extra info and pics when I asked for them.

Occasionally there have been a few days delay answering email when he was travelling, but he warns about that in his auctions so it shouldn't come as a surprise. He arranged for another person to communicate with about payment/shipping when he was going to be out of country on an extended trip. He's done OK by me.

I had dealings with a seller from the states a couple of years ago.
They tried to default me on my claim by not responding.
After looking into it much further, i called them and had a long conversation.
They let slip some info that made me realize they never intended to send my product.(long drawnout story).
after making them realise that I was onto thier scam, they promptly sent me a worm virus in an email labeled USPS.
I was suspisious, so I scanned it before anything.
Sure enough!

I phone Us postal service and notified the crimes and fraud dept.
They thanked me very much!
They had me send a copy to thier special address to investigate the claim/virus, and fraud.

I later called the seller again and notified them I wasnt an easy mark.
They werent so cocky after that!

I got my money back via (FRAUD ALERT) before I had completed that conversation! I had my (FRAUD ALERT) account open on another webpage simultaniously with EBay and USPS.
I'm sure the feds will be looking this case over enough to stop them from doing it again!
I hope!

I got my money back at least! But what a run around to do it!
What ever you do, keep records of everything, e-mails, dates, phone call times, etc.
That way when you present all this factual, organised info to the "fraudulent fellows" they know you have more than two legs and the law to back you up!

ok , so people have posted this stinking parasites phone and details.
he is still using it and answers it at all manner of day..

BOMBARD HIM WITH CALLS, where's my stuff where's my money. what you doing at 11pm.

try to have his accounts closed on gun broker and other auction sites he uses. report him as a fraudster.. they'll block his name and details and credit cards from registering another account.
blacklist him on the american forums...

waste his time , get him to put things on hold for you tell him youll send them money, string him along cancel what hes selling
spam his email, crush the f!@#ker

When using (FRAUD ALERT) pay with a credit card, if (FRAUD ALERT) refuses to refund you do a chargeback! Also just to burn him, file with (FRAUD ALERT) get him to refund you saying you'll return the gun and keep both money and gun, burn him like he burns other people.

If he is using (FRAUD ALERT) put PAYMENT FOR GUN in the message and send that along (maybe just send a couple bucks). (FRAUD ALERT) will freeze his account AND his funds.

I never had problems with US sellers. When dealing with Leo, just drive across the boarder and send him a US postal money order, if things go wrong, it's post fraud, a federal offense.

well, ive not ha a problem with the rat, but i havent purchased anything from him . however we as a group need to stick together.
i think the (FRAUD ALERT) idea sounds rather good....

I think if enough Canadian posters from here were to start jumping on him or pretend we are buying stuff from him and then not send him the money it will not take very long for him to realize the game is up. This jerk deserves to be hit hard and never be let go at all. Cheat one he will cheat all if he could.

Sounds to me like you have evidence of fraud that you could take to your
local RCMP. Since it involves firearms, they might get interested.
who knows what eles this guy does that is not above board on both sides of the border.

Yeah. A modern Indian replica may not be classed as a firearm in the U.S. (unless I'm mistaken, smokepoles aren't considered firearms), but here in Canada, unless it's a flinchlock, it's a firearm, so he could be charged with smuggling guns into the country.
