$240 Mossberg 590 at WSS!

Placed my order 2 weeks ago. Called today took about a dozen calls to finally get someone on the line. When i asked the status i was put on hold for 10mins then was told they hadnt sourced it yet.
Thats my concern, you would think that they could hold one right then with your name on it and be able to tell you its on the way,not holding out a lot of hope of getting mine,there seems to be a disconnect between stores and inventory!

Yeah, I was quite annoyed. When i ordered i was told it would be no problem getting one and itd be sent out within 2 weeks. NOw they're telling me they havent even sourced one yet. Plus its a pain trying to get ahold of someone there.

I ordered mine via phone and I just got confirmation this morning from the CFO that it had been transfered in my name. WSS told me yesterday afternoon that it had been shipped, so It should be here next week If everything goes smooth with DHL.
However, I had to go the extra mile in order to get this shotgun. Here's what I decided to do after a week and a half of waiting and being told by the mail order department that it hadn't been sourced yet :
- Called up both the Edmonton North and Edmonton South stores to check it they still stocked them. I made sure they checked the actual stock, not just the one shown in the computer. While the Edmonton North store was out, the Edmonton South store had 2.
- explained to the the manager that I had ordered one over the phone but that it had been a week and a half and no news of it being sourced by the calgary store. Asked if he could but it aside for me with my name and phone number. Which he kindly did.
- Called back the mail order department and told them the Edmonton South manager (Dan) was holding it for me and that all he needed was the inventory request from the calgary store so he could ship it to them.
- Calgary put the inventory request in, gun was in Calgary the next morning, sent express overnight.
- by the end of that same day (yesterday), it was registered in my name.
So although I had an absolutely outstanding service from every single employee at the Edmonton South store (manager, employee, shipping, CS), the mail order department seemed not to care to source it at first. Once i did that for them, everything went smoothly.
I suggest you do the same. If you can find a store that still stocks it, you have a greater chance of getting your gun if you follow these steps.
Last I heard, the Nanaimo Store had 3.

Been online with the crackheads at the ecommerce store no luck called most of the stores ,no luck,crackhead said they won't ship /source from Nanaimo,to much money.Gave up sat down 10 minutes,Light bulb (very dim one ) went off in my brainbucket,,called Nanaimo talked to manager, he will call the shipping dept to say I will pay the extra shipping,might happen ,not sure but a glimmer of hope is there,he seemed more optomistic when I said I wanted 2 ! Again ,,waiting!

From what the Edmonton South manager told me, they are selling these shotguns at a 2% loss already, so I bet they are reticent to source them from BC.
But I don't see why they wouldn't if you're paying the extra shipping
You hit the nail on the head ,the manager from Nanaimo called me back and had left an email with Calgary ,he was willing to sell them to me for extra shipping but told me they were on for $3.25 above his cost.They called me 10 mins ago said no to Nanaimo,but had sourced 1 -590 and 1- 500 for me,,,OK,as I am writing this, I got another call from Calgary ,they talked to the Nanaimo mgr and WILL source them from there because of something he said so I am back to 2 590's and 1 500.Like I said before ,1 of these is a gift for the wife so, she is lucky cause I was gonna strike her of the list;0) HA ,NOT ,that would be a castratable offence,so a couple weeks and they should be here.Thanks for the info guys much appreciated,I gotta send the mgr. in Nanaimo a nice cuban cigar for this!
There was still one out there 2 days ago because my 2 are coming from Nanaimo,and they had sourced 1 for me from somewhere else,also I believe there are more 500 persuaders out there, for $199. thats a great deal too.sfrc has them for $339.and most other places have them for over $300. I got one of those coming too! As sewktbk said you may need to call around the stores and get your name tagged on it,then call the shipping on line guys and let them know where it is and your name is on it. That way they have no choice,but to source it from that store,,except Nanaimo!
