Any cure to this madness? Just picked up my 2nd 1911 and I'm already planning on my third :(
250rounds count on the SR1911. Will be taking both to the range tomorrow. Not sure if I'll be using the S&W as much as the Ruger.

Them there is a darn pretty pair of pistols! I like the silver and redwood look.

Talk to us about the ruger cause I wouldn't mind getting one myself. And no I don't reckon theirs much of a cure for this "ailment". ;)

It's hard not to love the 1911 but then again there are alot of sweet looking firearms produced. The feared evil AR has to be one of the nicest looking rifles ever made in my opinion.

Thanks for the comments.
I'll be shooting the S&W for the first time today. After playing the two pistols last night, I'm not a big fan or the CT grips. The S&W grips are a bit big for my hands, I prefer the thinner handle of the Ruger. Maybe I just have to get use to it but I do have new sets of grips on the way so will try those for the smithy.
The fit and finish on the S&W is better than the Ruger hence the $400 difference. But the Ruger is worth every penny I spent. The Ruger has been flawless, not a single hiccup. Very tight fit between the receiver and the top slide, after 250 rounds the Ruger just keeps getting better. The slide action is very smooth. One thing I didnt like with these two are the MIM parts ie. slide lock n hammer. Also the front sight of the Ruger wasn't centered.
Anyways will update later today.

The 1911 bug can be a real #####... Lots of manufacturers, lots of grips and lots of different mags to try...

Second to the AR bug.

I'm on my 8th week of waiting for the Noveske can't wait to get it. Today I shot my friend's CORE15 Piston Black Moe AR15 and I came home a little depressed.

The Ruger is amazing after I adjusted the rear sight last night, it's dead on accurate today. The more I shoot it the better it gets. Put 100 rounds through the Ruger and still no issues.

The SW1911 is a pleasure to shoot as well, buttery smooth and no hiccups. Only shot 50rounds. Bullet goes through POA with the Crimson Trace laser but wasn't impressed when using the Novak sights. Its off-centered so it shoots a little bit to the left. As far as the grips go it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. So far I am very very pleased with this 2nd purchase. Will be back Thursday to shoot more. PM me if you want to see either one @ the range.

Next is Sig or SWTA :D

We need a mid-priced 1911 in 40S&W.

Like a Remington R-1, Para GI Expert, or a Ruger SR 1911.

I'd even settle for a Norinco 1911, in a .40

Hey! Where did you get the Ruger? They are hard to come by !!! Very nice start to your collection. Carry on.

Put my name down @ ISGoods mid December last year and to my suprise got the call 2nd weeks of January. I guess i was first on the list. They've received 3 including the pistol I purchased. They've had 2 more after that I believe.

Well I adjusted the rear sight on the SW and it was a b*tch to do. Are you supposed to apply loctite around the sight or the loctite on the sight screw enough to hold it?
