Anyone know if these are available in Canada yet? I wonder why Colt went away from the flat top slide on the GCNM and GCT and only sell the round top version only. I actually prefer the look of the original flat top.

i would love to see wood grips as well but only if these "premium" priced guns would come with front strap checkering, like seriously machine checkering is not that expensive and yet just about every upscale 1911 has no frontstrap checkering....

Checkering on the front of the grip or part of the rubber grips?

Presumed it was rubber..........

It's a one piece rubber wrap-around grip. I have one on my GCT and when you take it off the front strap is smooth. Front strap is
not machined like on the older GCNM.

No they don't, it's misleading. What they mean is a flat finish on the top of the slide. The GCT has a round top slide, I should know, I own one. They only made a real flat top stainless GCT the first year that Colt came out with the GCT.

It's a good price if it's the SST Gold Cup Trophy you're talking about. The new ones are listed at $1539.92.

I would say so, I paid that much for an old one made in 1943! Wasn't a Gold Cup though...
