I bought 100 rounds of the Norinco .45 ACP ammo to try out. It's dirty and sticky but it seems to shoot fine though a couple of times the last round in the mag FTF due to stickiness. No big deal.

Advertised as non corrosive and re-loadable I collected my spent cases. I think I only recovered 90 of the 100 I shot but of those I found two cases like this after tumbling.

My Remington R1E 1911 is pretty new but it does like to dent the brass during ejection. However this should not happen. I wonder if these were the two that FTF? Regardless, I won't be reloading Norinco brass

what the meant is that it was reloaded.......ouch

To clarify, these were not reloads, notice the factory green splooge around the primers. These split cases were factory loads. I was going to reload these brass but not after seeing this. Funny thing though, the Norinco spent brass and primer case are slightly heavier than Federal and Remington ones I collected too, by 3 - 4 grains.

At $19.99 a box they are the cheapest .45 auto around, but I dunno if saving $5 is worth the extra cleaning the gun will need after. Though I do love cleaning my guns!

I've shot about 500 rds. of the Norinco 45's.

No problems, yet. Maybe you got a bad batch.

I was going to order more. Anyone else experiencing any problems?

Thanks for the "heads up".

I never noticed any shooting issues with my rounds either - just be careful if ur gonna pick up range brass to reload, you don't want to risk using this stuff.

Is that patina?

Maybe, there was more of it all over case prior to tumbling it. I wonder if this is acquired or applied patina?

In fairness, this can be said about all range brass.
I have a mittful of .40 S&W Norinco brass from a few years ago that I've reloaded several times over. 45 auto is a fairly low pressure round. I'd have no problem reloading the Norinco brass.

True. I actually weight the Norc brass and it's actually heavier than Federal and RP brass by 3 - 4 grains with primers in! I have picked up and tumbled lots of brass at my range and never seen splits like this before. Got me thinking.

Side note - What was real scary was a guy at my range shooting race gun hand loads, 9mm maximum he called it. His gun sounded like .357 mag semi auto.... yikes.
