I've recently been eyeing up the PWS-MK107 and PWS-MK114 in 7.62 x 39. I tried searching but couldn't find much feedback on them... any owners out there care to share some reliability reports?

TIA

they have really good reviews in the states, everyone seems to really like them. i was going to get one for the cheap ammo till wolverine said their 858 AR mag adapters are going to show up soon. but im not married to the AR platform (yet) so i dont have that consideration swinging my vote

I'll be the one to BUMP this thread!! it's been a while since the last post. Has anyone purchased any of the PWS firearms? in particular, the pws mk107.

What's the difference between these ARs and other? supposedly these are more reliable?

common guys, someone must have purchased one of these!! I'm about to buy one from Questar, but need more info.

IMO...
I have not seen the 7.62x39 running but if its anything like the .223,I don't think you could go to wrong. The .223 I seen runnig beside me at a course I took never experienced any sort of hiccups what-so-ever. Nearly 1000 round and it ran flawlessly.

I also believe there to be several advantages to the design of this particular rifle...I will explain: You can shoot "cheap" even corrosive ammo without all that nasty crap makeing it to the bolt and carrier group due to piston design. It runs a bit cooler than traditional DI,less "gunk", we all know how much heat this round can generate and IMO keeping this out of the reciever area is a good thing. I am not looking to start a debate on DI. vs. Piston but I really believe that in this particular caliber it is a real advantage. Did I mention cheap to shoot.

.300 blackout is awsome and all but, cost of shooting 7.62x 39 vs. .300 is clearly a no-brainer. Also how many of us are running suppressed rifles that .300 really even is in play other than cool factor.

To Sum up:
PWS = great reputation
PWS from Questar = great rep plus good warr/customer service
PWS, piston + cheap readilly avail supply of ammo...Win-Win IMO
If I could afford right now and did not want to build my own....Get it and enjoy

I was originally looking at getting a MK114 but ended up pre-ordering the DD from Wolverine. I couldn't find any negative issues or complaints about carrier tilt from their piston system and eats any ammo without a burp and can run for a while without cleaning (though I love cleaning my guns) from my research

Now that I'm getting the DD, I still want to get the PWS but now the MK110 or MK112 in 7.62x39 (but no range near me where I can shoot this somewhat regularly) but might just end up sticking to .223.

.300 BLK would be cool but Heckler made good points.

Hey quick question for x39 AR owners. What mags are you using? Can you use regular .223 PMAG or LAR15 with reduced rounds or are you limited to those C-Products banana mags?

I read in another forum that Magpul won't be making x39 mags and couldn't find any other options from my Google search.

Thanks!

The only downer that I could see was getting extra mags for the PWS. I wish there was a variant that used AK mags. (a smaller/different maufacturer did do this, but had reliability issues with the gun) .

I wish magpul would just man up, pull up their panties, and make some 762 mags.

I'm either going with PWS in 556, or Daniel Defence in 556. I'd love to buy the 762 but I read that the mags are not very reliable.

In a perfect world I'd buy one of each :) but that will take some time.

Welcome to my world! I was debating on a PWS, DD, Stag and CORE15 for some time. I ended up ruling out the CORE15 and Stag in favor of the DD and PWS. Seeing that I'm not able to preorder the PWS until my RPAL comes in, another sponsored dealer allowed me to get in on the DD pre-order pending my RPAL. (THANKS WOLVERINE SUPPLIES!! :) ). So now my DI will be a DD and I'm still looking at PWS for a piston rig. I wanted to get the PWS in a x39 since the DD is .223 but not finding much luck with dedicated mags for it. I read Magpul won't make the x39 mags because it will make the plastic too thin to accommodate it. Heck, I'll settle for a single stack! I just want 5rnds (unless they made a 10rnd pistol version haha!).

As Stevo pointed out the ASC 10rnd mags are an option. I've read on a few forums that the C-Product mags are finicky not to mention, I don't like the long banana mag look unless it's on an AK. :p

Well, at least the DD will be my first AR and I'll have an excuse and time to save for the PWS in x39. Unfortunately I wouldn't be shooting the x39 all too often because I think the club I'm planning on joining doesn't allow it. :(

Maybe a NR ACR is in the future too! F@RK this hobby is already draining my bank account!
