Savage asks what would you like us to build next?

Maybe Savage can build a classic Marlin lever gun? It'll be like Remington's offerings... but being a Savage, it'll work right out of the box. V:I:

Or how about a 1911? Everybody's doing it :D

.338-06, all stainless, with a quality fiberglass stock with 5 rounds, 23" bbl with sights.

.300H&H with select wood and gloss bluing, 26"bbl with quality sights, and 4 rounds in the belly.

I'd like to see them start with a clean piece of paper and design a new bolt action. Preferably one that doesn't involve a multi-piece threaded fireing-pin, separate bolt head held on by a cross-pin, its guts hanging hanging out the side, separate bolt handle and everything held together by a big screw that should be holding the brakes on a Lada.

Everything about the savage action was designed for cheap manufacture with unfitted parts. They could do better.

Bingo! I know someone who has had that POS cross pin bust twice. He carries spares now...nice.

Model 24-C in stainless with different caliber option....make it a barrel swapper without having to sent it to have it fitted at the company. If not faisible

a 24-C blue lightweight.

I'd like to see a 99 in 410 takedown again but savage needs some boomers. 375hh 458wm 9.3x62 416 rigby. A 24 chambered for 9.3x74r over a 12ga would be nice. But I'd settle for a 110 in 35whelen with a 20" barrel and spare mag

Bringing back their combination guns might be fun, especially if they had a couple centerfire options along with rimfires. They're probably looking for "never been done before" answers though, rather than a return to the past.

They are doing a new combination gun. It's called the model 42 and it's only .410 with a rimfire (22LR or .22WMR) to start with, but if it sells well enough they'll probably add more options .

I heard the 24 became too expensive to build for what the retail market would pay, so it's not coming back. But a reworking of the concept to create a combination gun that cost less to build so it could be sold at a lower price that would get enough sales to make it successful...

...could be the new Model 42 combination gun. But it's not stainless, so far.

I want a plain side by side shotgun with a synthetic stock and a parkerised finish. Ideally, a combination set of 12 ga. and 20 ga. barrels. I think Savage is the company that could make it and sell it at the most reasonable price, so I wish they would try. (And not by buying it from Turkey or Brazil and re-badging it - I'd rather not deal with Turkey for political reasons and I already have a Boito from Brazil, and the Stoeger doubles are built by Boito.)
