CZ 28ga SXS

Where are all these hiding. I was going to finally buy one and there doesn't seem to be any in stock any where??:(

CZ firearms are somewhat harder to find now indays since Wholesale Sports and Cabelas doesn't stock CZ products anymore.

I want to get a new CZ 550 LUX .270 and I ordered it back in October 2011 and I still haven't got it yet.:mad:

I could easily just get a Remington 700 were Wholesale Sports and other hunting/sporting shops would have many in stock but im cursed with wanting what I want and I expect nothing else. :ang

Is the bobwhite??

Yes, the Bobwhite is a SxS and you used to be able to get it in 28 gauge. It had a straight grip stock. The Ringneck was a bit fancier and was semi-pistol grip.
The Canvasback, Redhead and Woodcock are over/under shotguns. I think maybe now CZ might have a couple of different models.
The frames on CZ's are built gauge specific.

Thanks. That is the one. I like the straight english style stocks but if I cannot find one will take a ringneck. Thanks again.

Don't see it on their site anymore. I picked the bobwhite for a 12 for the same reasons, straight grip and double trigger.

I would suggest trying Prophet river and see what they can do as well. I ordered mine from them and the service is excellent.

Yes, the Bobwhite is the one you want... sxs with 2 triggers and English grip. If you see a CZ Partridge, snap it up. It's the exact same as the Bobwhite with stainless instead of case finish.

That's the one I got a couple years back when the CZ 28s started getting scarce. I ordered it from MacDonald's Sporting Goods (or something like that) out of Saskatchewan.

Aside from the flared muzzle (for the screw-in chokes), I'm very satisfied with it.

Hello Mac.The Bobwhite is a SXS.Have not seen one in person but sometime ago I read an article on them in 28 gauge in one of the sporting magazines.

Hi 28 gauge. Getting some income tax back for the 1st time in 20 years so I figure it is time to pick up a sxs 28ga for hunting. I have a lead on one I think so am following up. If not I will watch the EE. take care

Not that you need a reason for it, but out of curiosity, why so much interest in CZ Bobwhite? It is not made or designed by CZ. I looked at it when I was looking for my 20 GA sXs two years ago and was not impressed. My 2 cents.

I shot a Bobwhite in 28 for several year and it was a fantastic gun.
It pointed well and where you looked, it was reliable, chrome lined barrels, black chrome finish, double triggers ( which ii demand on a field gun) nice and light ( under 5 3/4lbs.)

I wasn't worried about who designed it and all the bad press about reliability was fixed years ago.
Some people can't get past the flared muzzles, but let's face it, your are NOT supposed to be seeing them when you are shooting anyway!!
