colt le6940 or HK MR223A1?

Personal preference and if I had the scratch...the HK...she's a thing of beauty and there aren't too many of them (comparatively speaking). But is is worth the extra cash? That's up to the buyer (hence I said...if I had the money for that). The Colt, while nice, doesn't get me excited to go shooting at the range. They both go boom and will work nice...

AFAIK, it was a problem on the triggers from the 90's (FA and SA).

At very least, the E3 IWS guns have new triggers. One of my SR-15's are well past 6k with the original trigger.

That makes more sense. Thanks for clearing that up as I hadn't heard anything like that with the new E3 rifles.

what's people's opinion on a Colt LE 6940 vs a HK MR223A1?

$2800 for the colt, $3900 for the HK...

so which would you choose and why?

first off, one is DI and one is piston..what do you want?

as for DI... Colt is nice, but for about the same or less I would go with KAC, Noveske or LMT in a second.

I own/owned a Colt LE6920, Noveske Infidel, H&K MR223, LMT and as far as quality/fit/finish I would give H&K the win...the Noveske comes in a very very very close second then the Colt and LMT are pretty much a tie. the H&K is a little muzzle heavy for some and I really don't know if the extra 1K spent for a piston will give you a signifiantly longer life on your rifle parts (i doubt it). I own an H&K only because i can afford a few more luxuries than I used to but if i had only 4k or 5k to invest in a AR, it would be KAC or Noveske and a top tier optic.

just my opinion, and im sure there are better informed guys here that you should listen to.
