Just wondering is anybody started to reload for their xcr-m in .308 yet? Ran some cheap surplus ammo through it and had nothing but troubles with it cycling. Tried all the gas settings and didn't help. Used some S&B 147gr and didn't do too bad. No cycling troubles. Accuracy was closer to 2+".
If reloading what would be a good bullet weight? Wouldn't mind using it for deer but wouldn't be the first choice but still a good back up to the other 5 backups.

I have shot 100 rounds through my M, 20 factory (hornady 168gr match) and 80 reloads.

The reloads i have tried are 150gr hornady with 44gr win748 & 168gr hornady match with 45gr blc2.

No cycling issues and not change the gas setting (manual says dont change gas settings till you shoot 200 rounds)

Never reloaded for a semi yet. Is bullet weight a factor with it cycling properly? Looking at all the surplus .308 ammo, they are around the 150gr mark. Would loading with 168gr or heavier effect cycling?

I have not had issues with 168gr through mine on factory gas setting. I will be trying different settings next week as it throws brass across the range.
