:confused:Is this true that by purchasing a Glock 20 or 29, someone with different barrels could change from 10mm to 40s&w to 357sig without having to change any other parts on the pistol, magazine included? I was thinking of buying a Glock 22 to try 357sig but now the Glock 20/29 seems even better. If anyone was done this or knows anything about this, please share!!!

You missed a calibre....

The rip roarin' flame snortin' 9x25 Dillon. A 10mm case necked down to 9mm, it has quite the velocity edge on the .357 SIG. and actually fits the G20 mags properly!!!

...and, yes, it true. :)

Enjoy.

Mike.

I've got both the G20 and the G29. I've also got .40S&W conversion barrels for each of them. I use the same magazines regardless of whether I'm using 10mm or .40S&W ammo. They both fit into the 10mm mags.

....but once you play with 10mm handloads all the other options just seem to take the back burner :D

The unfortunate part is to get the 10mm up to its peak in a Glock you need an aftermarket barrel...

You need a conversion slide but .22lr is also doable.
I didn't realize 9mm luger was an option with the G20's, what mag do you use?

Are you saying the stock G20 barrel can't handle full power 10mm loads?
Never heard that one before. I better tell my buddy with the G20 running hundreds of fullhouse loads using 800-X powder he shouldn't be doing that.

Good thing I have an aftermarket 10mm barrel for my G21's. Should be good to go:dancingbanana:

I can shoot .357 Sig, .40 S&W and 9X25 with a simple barrel swap. On top of that I have an AA .22 LR kit and G21 Slide and barrel. The goal was to dmyself a sort of SHTF kit with my 20. I too am interested in a 9mm conversion, I didn't know it was available.

Its a 10mm, go big or go home. lol Still haven't bulged a case with the stock barrel though.

I also shoot 357 sig with mine. The price of 9mm with the potential of real thump. Would love to share some loads with another 357sig shooter, data is lacking. :(

Knew you'd catch this thread.
Wasn't I sarcastic enough?

Love the 10mm, come on Glock give me a Gen 4 20. I haven't bought a pistol in weeks.

Does anyone have experience with the Glock 29 and Glock 20. Wondering if there is a difference in the felt recoil if shooting the same ammo between the two 10mm models.

Its not really the barrel so much as the chamber. The large tolerance stock one bulges (and prematurely kills) your brass, especially the unsupported part on the feed ramp. The Glock smiley is no bueno.

Check to see how the G21 extractor works with the 10mm rim and your conversion barrel. .45 is quite a bit fatter, so you might see some FTEs. Maybe, maybe not, but that is the only issue I can think of with your proposed setup. I'm like B and run two slides so I can't say for sure, just a thought

Enjoy the 10mm. My favorite pistol round by far.

Do tell where you found a 9mm conversion barrel for your G20SF....I'd love that for my G20. Ive never heard of these before...

Cheers
Adam

EFK Firedragon used to make them (maybe still do, can't find them on their site). I recall a guy on either TFL or GlockTalk having one... I remember clearly it was an EFK though...

I've got a G20C and a G29 so there is quite a bit of difference in muzzle rise between to two when I'm shooting 10mm. But when I'm shooting them with the .40S&W barrels (neither of which are ported) I can't feel or notice any difference in recoil or muzzle rise.

Older style barrels were unsupported. And a glock 21 extractor works wonderfully.
I have played with both extensively.

My Gen 3 G20 has run the hottest loads and brass bulging has never happened. Barrel feed ramp is not as agressive as the older models.

I don't see how any mags would feed a 9mm bbl. 9's won't work in my 10mm mag. I just checked.
