Gave me a trade-in on another gun. Used value on the 858, but it was better than being boned with a gun that wouldn't work right.
 
This is the first time I'm hearing of problems with the 7.62 magwell adapters. Is this a widespread issue or just a small percentage...?
 
RANGE REPORTS...
The CSA 223/556 with gen2 adapter functioned great using LAR pistol mags, fed perfect through 120 rounds, bolt hold open worked every time...100 percent so far, didn't really test for accuracy, but i was hitting center of target at 50 yards without any adjustments to the sights...very pleased

.....looking for a CSA side scope mount and fasteners...PM me if you want to sell me one.......

The CZ 858 with B&T adapter dissappointed me...XCR 762 pistol mags, Fired 120 rounds, 80 foichi FMJs, 30 czech surplus, 10 herters 153gr sp....had 15 percent failure to feed...failures didn't seem to be ammo or mag dependent, one failure pushed in the bullet using the foichi stuff, sometimes the failures would happened when charging, some mid mag...i see whats going on, if the round doesnt sit perfect in the lips it will not feed, and the mags don't consistantly place the round in the same position every time...i will contact wolverine about this, maybe some feed lip tweaking and/or polishing might help...

Uh oh, looks like these magwell adapters for 7.62 are going to have a drop in sales... glad I didn't buy. Sorry guys, hope these get fixed.
 
The 5.56 makes sence, but 7.62X39 in a 5.56 mag is a aweful idea

Glad to see you AR15 mag adapter is GTG on your 5.56 Vz :D
 
The bt adapter for the CZ in 762 is what I was having problems with, the CSA adapter for the CSA 223 works like a charm...don't get them confused

That's the same sort of issues I was having. I spent hours tweaking the mags, including reshaping the feed lips and modding the follower to get it to tilt more. Not much luck at all with that. Still had FTF's. The only thing I didn't try was to grind two notches in the remains of the feed ramp, where the bullet tips were catching. Kinda make it like M4-style feed ramps.

Actually, 7.62x39 works fine in those mags. It's the adapter/858/receiver mod that's problematic.

This is what I traded my 858 in on and it feed flawlessly for 140 rounds of Czech M43 today, except for one failure to feed that I attribute to turning the gas down too much and the bolt not traveling rearward enough to pick up the next round.

the csa is like that...gonna see if it will feed using the factory mags, if so, i will try to exchange the adapter and xcr mags for in store credit...
