And it's not me, nor are the bolt tools, that's what I've been trying to say.

M14Doctor as it pertains to CGN, M14forum.com , M14RA.org, canadacarry.com, gunslingers.com and a few other places IS me.
100's of people know and deal with me as M14Doctor.
This is the clarity.
There is nothing personal about it. It's my USER name and not my business name.

None of my actions or claims are meant to damage anyone or their reputation. But customers and folks seeking professional advice about the M14 need to know that m14Doctor.com is not me.
I don't know how to clarify that and have you not get offended.
You are not a dealer here on CGN and have no obligation to defend your position. I don't make the tool, I don't sell the tool, I am not m14doctor.com.

I have publicly stated you have a great product, I have publicly stated you are a good guy. I made a business decision, you did not suffer financial loss as a result.... So what's the big deal?

No assault on your integrity intended Thomas, just setting the record straight ... you presented your story, I presented mine. I produced some evidence to back mine up. I can produce a lot more if need be, but as I said earlier I did not seek this confrontation ...

My reputation is important to me I will defend it vigorously. You may think I don't need to defend my position as I have no dealer status here, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Reputation is everything ....
 
I was not seeking confrontation either. And I also have every email and p.m between us dating back to our first meeting. I also have the emails from CGN admin regarding the dealer account and it's access by myself or a second party. The resulting arrangement was as per the rules of CGN, not by my decision and I've told you that. Wanna call me a liar ;) I can cut and paste quotes all night too.

This issue we have would be gone and done if you would refrain from posting in threads pertaining tp Bolt Tools and NM guide rods. What you are doing could be against CGN policy and with all the crap going on in offtopics ... It bugs me to see any NON dealer, posting about their product. It has my name on it and I don't need to be wrapped up in a misunderstanding with CGN.
I'm not a mod however so I'll just leave it at that.

I have had no indication that anything I am doing is against the rules. I am allowed to help people find a way to solve their problems here as much as anyone else.

I do not post to push my products exclusively. In fact, I'd say that your posts have drawn far more attention to the fact that I sell product than my own posts ....

Let me make this perfectly clear :

The vast majority of my sales are to DEALERS and are not retail. I call dealers directly, I do not use CGN to promote my dealer sales.

At this stage I have not decided to go retail so I have no particular need for a CGN dealer account to promote sale of my goods ... this could change of course.

But seriously Thomas, its not like I spend time on CGN shamelessly hawking my wares .... any sales I get are referred to me by other parties at no instigation of mine. There was a time when even you would refer sales to me, yes?

Besides, I am not even aiming at the market you are trying to reach ... so really, stop trying to get me disciplined here over nothing.
 
I don't really want you disciplined dave even though I have brought up the entire issue with CGN admin to protect my own interests as a paid dealer on the site.. Getting you in trouble wasn't the meaning of my post at all.

When a guy posts a thread about bolt tools and the first guy to respond just happens to be the only guy currently offering a bolt tool for sale in canada ..... I'll leave that to others to tell you how that looks.

I'm okay with this being posted for public record. I ain't perfect and I don't expect folks to like all my decisions, but I stick to what I believe and with those that truly matter, my peers and clients, my reputation is just where I want it to be.

With all due respect, the content of the post is more important than who posts first. I posted links to 2 threads on CGN, one of which featured the bolt tool and discussion of other methods of dis assembly, and the other which focused on other methods.

And lets just say your idea of "measured and clear" and mine are planets apart ... I'll leave it at that.

The issue was brought up during dealer renewal as today was April 1st, the beginning of the new dealer year.
I have relayed to CGN that yourself and the website known as m14doctor.com is not associated with my account and posts made about products offered by yourself are not related to my dealer account.
As I said, I'm a firm believer in the rules and don't like seeing non dealers posting about their products. It's why I had such an issue with M14.ca last year (the Laz thing aside) but they are a dealer now and I respect their presence here as my resent discussions with Frank are testament too.

Tell ya what. You post what you want. You defend your position as you see fit. I didn't end my association for any other reason than I am not working on rifles for the forseeable future, shifting the focus of my business to custom rifle stocks. When I do enter back into riflesmithing, it will be full service and due to the insurance involved, will not be something I want to bear with a partner who does not share my riflebuilding skills/knowledge.
Handng over the M14Doctor account to you because you registered the .com domain and made a free website is a major complication when every post made is content posted by me. When the trader rating is soley based on my transactions. When the emails and p.m.'S are asking rifle questions and wanting the answer from ME.

Is that what it's really about? You feel entitled to the M14Doctor name as it pertains to areas outside m14doctor.com?
I have not made any decisions that will result in your financial loss. I simply disolved our casual arrangement where I bought NM guide rods from you for retail less 20%, Cash Up Front and ONLY put them in builds, no retailing, and I forwarded all inquiries for bolt tool sales or retail guide rod sales to you and asked for no profit, compensation/renumeration/special favors, happy endings, or the like.
I think I've done my part, as well as perform the work I am known for.

What is really the issue here?
Tell you what, emt me 50% of 3 years of dealer fees, have admin wipe the site of all my posts as m14doctor..... And you can have the M14Doctor CGN account.
Sound fair and reasonable?
