nightforce or leupold rings?

rings

I use lots of leupold rings (not mark 4) and never had a problem with them, but that said my n/f rings are made very heavy duty, I just dont know if you really need them that heavy duty for what most people do with there guns. just my opinion

have the mark 4's and have had the nightforce. can't tell the difference. i like the name mark 4 so that's why i stick with them. Conversation example.

Guy "Hey man, what kinda rings are on that?"

Me " The Mark 4's"

See what i mean. It sounds cool to say mark 4's.

Mark 4's all the way. The nightforce rings have slightly less material to them. I like the beefy 4's. Some top notch rifle builders use nothing but the 4's like Tac Ops.

Either ring will work fine. Don't forget Near rings. He makes outstanding products, all top rated. I have one of his bases and it's primo!

Nightforce Ultra Lights. The Mark 4's are solid rings, but very heavy. I don’t know if weight is an issue for you but two Nightforce UL rings are still lighter than one MK4. I have owned and used both and the UL do not lack in quality or durability. I sold all my MK4’s.

As for the TPS- There have been a lot of mixed reviews. I would not put them on the same level as Leupold or Nightforce (or Badger Ord.).

I agree and was not impressed with the overall finish of my TPS rings.

Didn't put them at the same level. I would suggest NEAR Mfg if going to the same level.

TPS rings are very good, and are probably a leader at their price point. I will guess the only people that will notice a difference use thier rifles at work every day.

I do agree that I will take NF light rings over the Mark 4. I just am not into monolithic steel scope rings. FWIW

I have TPS and Leupold PRW rings 30mm. The PRW rings are very solid but not light, if you need to keep weight down the TPS work good
manitou

Here lets make it easy. These are Mark 4 rings.

@Eliteboris: Things do go wrong sometimes. Did Leupold take care of you? I wouldn't mind hearing the full story as that is definitely not the norm.

Are we all going to start wearing rubbers because one guy gets struck by lightening? :)
