If you don't buy a new car every two years, I would argue that BC and alberta are very close in living costs.abour costs are massive in AB. Annual insurance is cheaper, but annual vehicle registration almost makes up for it. School fees for children were over double when made my move to AB from BC. I was very impressed with paying 2/3 for natural gas until my power bill rang in at $400 for a large family. This would be about $80 in BC. Goods are the same price for the most part. I never paid for water in my life, here it costs me $75/month. The list goes on. BC is more expensive, but AB has a lot of stuff that is crazy expensive too.

You can't compare the Charlottes to the rest of BC. Goods are very expensive there.

i'd agree. I get raped on truck insurance here in Alberta. The money i would save having the truck insured in BC would buy a year's worth of fuel, at BC gas prices!! 1 year insurance in AB = 1 year gas + 1 year insurance in BC

power costs are ludicrous here in AB as well. other than the lack of HST, i haven't yet found anywhere that i'd save significant money by staying in AB.

Everything is damn pricey over here!I guess I was taken aback a little by the markup on those rifles, and the few other rifles/shotguns in the rack were a bit overpriced too.However, this was the only store I have been in here that actually sells firearms.So I guess they have a captive audience and the market cornered.

There are some dreamers in the EE that have been trying to sell their sks's for about 150% of what you can buy them for from the store.

These guys have like 5 or 6 bumps in their threads. After a few month of bumping you would think they'd get the hint and reduce their asking.
