Hungry/M14Doctor Book

It's ok, they can probably grow you a new one on the back of a mouse.

Haven't you heard? The future is almost here! Ink jet tech, make a skelton, a swab from you mouth, some voodoo manipulation, Presto! The chicks I'll start calling you the Horse (just hit enlarge before you print). We'll all be out trying to get caught at the border or whatever else will make it fall off.

I started one a couple years ago and keep adding info all the time by copying and pasting off here and other sites....I even got Hungry to autograph it for me at one of the clinics I went to...lol

not to throw a wet blanket on this, but jerry knudson and different have rather extensive books out there- while a "cookbook" would be nice, it would have to compete against the likes of THAT; as well as what's already published and out there on the net and elsewhere

No books I'm afraid
I'm no pioneer LOL
Jerry Kuhnhauusen's 30 cal service rifle manual is the book you need

However for you guys with chinese rifles, the dimensions can't be adhered to for tuning parts due to the variances between USGI and chinese.
I've been putting together a chinese rifle oriented "tune up DVD" BUT.... Ya all should just stay tuned for the DVD and photo diary we will be making of the upcoming July clinic.
No time for writing books hehehe
And Jason, it ain't rocket science to you and a few others of us that have the will and ability to tinker and tune.... But, there are MANY things about these rifles and making them reliably accurate, that are not in print, anywhere.

If a book is published I'd like to contribute. I'll do a chapter as m44doctor, my other secret alias. I can write about going to 2 clinics and still not having an m305 that really works, over a 3 year span.

Okay, forget that book stuff. Jerry Kuhnhausen is the man... There are many other accurizing books out there in cyberspace. Besides, I am not the expert at accurizing and building M14 rifles, get that straight, Okay? :D

I'm just the dude who can explain it well enough (hey, I am a professional educator with many returning graduates who STILL love me, one even named their kid after me...:) ) AND I want to save you money as well as prevent #### loss! :D

I am honored by the suggestion, but frankly. I have a great time at the clinics...that compensates for my day job (bang head on wall here) because I cannot reach all the teenagers, the few that I reach keep me from going insane. Besides, I cannot drink my stress away as much as I dream. :D I just gotta go and hit the gym.

Hey, have you noticed that M14doctor is the man for stocks and tweaks? Gothmog is the man for M14 tools? MysticPlayer is a great dealer for accuracy swag? Everyone on this forum has their niche and specialization....

We already have a great community!

Cheers,

Barney

Notice how Hungry always plays himself down. Considering how he's a teacher I'm going to draw him a thank you picture in mspaint

It was seeing Hungry's 2004 clinic DVD, then Brendan's trigger job dvd(ebay) that flicked a light on in my head.
I was moaning to my wife about not having any hunting/shooting buddies and had recently discovered CGN "after" buyin one of the early marstar imports. I was googling trying find a sage ebr and google took me to SkullBoy's early thread on building his sage.

Anyhow, I figured with my knowledge at the time, and my den/gunsmithin room, hell I could do a clinic and meet some cool people.
It was indeed Lazerus2000 who took me aside one day and said I should take what I knew and could do to the next level, which was a regular clinic schedule and building/tuning M14's. I became a dealer because I was selling too many usgi and modified usgi stocks in the EE and was violating CGN policy so I accepted the "invite" to join CGN as a dealer..... And here we are.
I owe it ALL to the community that is CGN ;)
People seem to like the work I do, I'm proud of that, but, there are many guys who can build an m14 just as good as I do. I love the platform and I like to think that shines through in my efforts here on CGN.
I'm sure lookin forward to the July clinic, can't wait to meet Hungry(and all the rest of you) for some M14 hang out time.
July can't come soon enough :D

How about, rather than a book, put together a compendium.

I think that Hungry might be contractually obligated to do this, based on his agreement with his mentor.
