$39.95 Sarco No 4 Mk I Stock Sets

They actually do ship to Canada subject to a $100 order limit and the usual US export restrictions on controlled items like barrels. Their order processing is very constipated though and quality tends to be mixed. I've gotten wrong items from them a couple of times, but it's too much hassle to return them.

I've been buying from them for nearly 30 yrs, incl 3 yrs when I resided in the US. Some of the stuff has been really tops. Other stuff not so.

And ... just for a reality check, Marstar lists No4 wood on their website. Remember, we need to support CGN's sponsors when there is a choice.

Of course, there IS a difference in price between both suppliers - a substantial difference. I wonder if the Sarco wood is also from the Marstar batch they sent south in a bulk sale from the greek hoard?

lets see whole set of wood for $40.00 or a butt for $70.00 easy choice..i like to support John but come on $70.00 for a butt

I concure. I like to support the Canadian retailers all that I can, but when I can get all the parts that I need to restore an Enfield for under $100, all from the same place, I am going to do so.

I paid the extra dollar for the Marstar stuff, because it was a lot cleaner and all usable.

I talked to the people at Sarco and Mike told me the stuff is pretty ratty for the most part.

He was being honest as usual, so I declined.

One thing about the people at Sarco, getting ahold of them can be a nightmare. They only have one person that takes care of foreign orders.

Went to the Sarco website. :D All I can find is a set for 79.95 and can't seem to make it come up, when I click on it. Just a list of available parts and prices. What am I doing wrong ?

I ordered the $40set a few weeks ago. Took 2 weeks for them to process my order, but only 5 days from PA to my house! Upper handguards are new, the forestock is very good with 1 scratch and the butstock is dry cracked and a bit worn but useable. Plus they all had savage stamps, which is perfect for the 1942 savage im putting them on.
Might have to order up a spare set for the next bubba no4 i get ahold of.

And they packed my parts in a nice box full of peanuts, all safe and sound.

Ordered today. Point of note. :D Don't forget to order all the other missing pieces, at the same time. Got a bubbaed 1944 Long Branch, I'm hoping to rehabilitate.
