Glock 17 Mag Well Damage

Super glue or epoxy should fix it, like mentioned above.
Thats what happens when you buy junk.
Just joking guys, i too am a glock fan!!

Okay, I'll probably try something like that. At first I was pissed cause it is a pretty new gun but now I don't really care how it looks. I just want to make it more solid so I don't screw up on a fast mag change and bend one of the cut pieces all the way back. They feels pretty flimsy.

P.S. I don't know how to post my own pictures, I don't know much about modern day tech knowledge eee.

Yeah but it is not just a nick. The cuts are so deep and there are four of them so the sections of the mag well actually stick out and are loose. I know I can still shoot it but over time, especially if I drop it again it could possibly bend the cut pieces all the way out.

pix?

Yeah I thought about the chop, although I do have fairly big hands. I saw a picture of someone who did it in the states and it looked nice.

I gave him an option, which he is most likely checking into. might be able to have the frame replaced for a nominal fee.

Exactly, and thanks for that tip, they turned out to be extremely helpful and great people to deal with.

Obviously the previous two folks to post do not know how to read properly, if they did they would notice I had stated I do not know how to post pictures and could have offered advice.

It is too late anyways, I have it all under control now thanks to you Brocolt.

What are you simple? Your obviously the one who can't read. There are threads on how to post pics...I think it is even "Sticky"d for simpletons like you. :nest:

Gurkha Pm me and let me know what they said, I would like to know. I was thinking of a Glock but desided to go with a STi Spartan 9 over a Glock G22 but would be nice to know how your issue turned out incase I deside buy a Glock down the road.

Are you retarded?

You didn't mention that you don't know how to post pics until AFTER those comments came in.

No sir, you are not correct, I was referring to the same comments Brocolt was responding to today. They were made by jackrabbit000 and deadownwind today. I am not speaking of the previous posts.

It was never a desire of mine to post pictures, especially after Brocolt gave me contact information which in turn helped to solve the issue I was having.

Therefore I did not need to go out of my way and read a sticky just to please the individuals who wanted me to post pictures. That is why I wrote "obviously the previous two folks to post do not know how to read properly, if they did they would notice I had stated I do not know how to post pictures and could have offered advice."

If it was so important to you, then you could have offered advice. It was clearly not important to me as I had already found a solution to my problem.

I have to say after reading this thread that I find it very unlikely that the Glock frame was damaged to the point of
"The cuts are so deep and there are four of them so the sections of the mag well actually stick out and are loose".

It's also in the magwell right? I can't imagine how it would happen as you say. I've owned three Glocks and I have a really hard time believing this thread. I too would like to see pics...of course I'll eat crow if I see proof.
