Hi all. I got a mosin from tradeex and for shipping purposes they stuck the bayonet on backwards. Only problem is that i can't get the f-n thing off and its really jammed on there. Im thinking there must be a trick to it or something.

Picture is what it looks like not my rifle but same deal

Take a plastic hammer or a wood block and a hammer and give slight tap, the bayo will slide of without any hurt:)

its not just yours. mine has the same problem but yea i never use it anyways. once i actually installed it and couldn't get it off even with hammering it so yea i had to use a lot of force just to get it off the barrel.:bangHead:
 
lol Pretty much anyone that has had a Mosin 91/30 shipped to them has dealt with this :D
Like Joc said. What I did was put a block of wood against the tip of the bayo alongside the rifle. Got the wife to hold the rifle down on the work bench with all her tiny weight and I gave the block of wood a smack with a mallet.
It will come off, it's just a #####.
You won't break it man. Those things are forged iron tough and cost less than an over the hill hooker!
