As the title says. Wondering if any of the local dealers are selling Chinese SKS rifles. I have two Russians and would like to add a Type 56 from 26. I know I could order online, but would like to look before I buy on this one.

Yes I know some may think "they are all the same", but I'm being picky on this one because I can be. :p

Obviously these huys at the show, know how to gouge. Do they not think that even someone how doesn't know the value, may find out and come back to them a little mad.

Its called "buyer beware". No one forces you to buy something. If you buy, you take the risk. Not a seller's fault if the buyer gets remorse.

I guess you are right but it is still gouging. Honerable people don't look to shoot fish in a barrel. They earn a decent profit while staying competitive, not by looking for people to take advantage of.

Not entirely sure if this is true or not...but Buyers remorse can be fought in court and as long as the item is in the same condition as it was purchased in the seller may have to take it back..unless it was sold as is where is..yadayadayada..:p

Welcome to the post LGR world. Cash sales and "I don't recall ever owning that gun." Its a used gun in a private sale. They are all as is sales.

I bought my sks from milarm and would again. They had both Russian and Chinese, however the Chinese are not factory 26 they are 625.

I am looking for a factory 26 as well, do not know if there are any new in these, as the new unused chinese being advertised. if anyone knows where to get one please PM me.

I've only had one dealing with Milarm. The level of customer service went beyond what any dealer would be required to provide. I don't know about your dealings with them but I would deal with them again.

This thread is about Chinese SKS dealers in Calgary and Alberta in general. Let's keep it at that.

Yeah be very weary of gunshows, Ive seen $850 bubba SKS in terrible shape that actually sold. As for Factory 26, I dont see alot of them around. Most of whats on the market right now are 625 (mostly poor finish, not the nicest) 316 (never owned one) and 306 (Best I ever owned) Can Am has free shipping if thats the reason for buying local, otherwise Weimajack has the best selection that you can pick and choose from.

Awesome. Was trying to find some at the show and not a single one. Well there was one Chinese SKS for 550. And a Yugo for 1200.

Time for a trip to Edmonton maybe.

Couldn't have been looking too hard. :D Saw a couple, including one at the Wolverine booth. About 200. I recall. Good shape except the stock had slight damage in the mag area, slmost like someone buggered up a pinning job. They were looking for offers.

Grizz
