Reliable gun in vancouver has both the JR and thureon in stock , maybe phone them and get there opinion on the two.
They come with adjustable stocks. They were pinned for exportation purposes I've heard, you just have to take the pin out and it takes a whooping 2-3 min if you have the right size screw handy ,pliers and have the ability to get ants out of an ant hill with a stick to feed yourself......A + for the ones that Reliable is selling, as they have swapped out the fixed butstocks for adjustable ones. I was in on Thursday to buy one. Sad thing is, the transfer wouldn't go through, so I couldn't leave with it. I'm guessing that that was because the regs had just changed?? it was quite disappointing, and I won't see it in the mail until at least Wednesday, as I don't live in Vancouver... Can't 4ucking wait!!

For the guys trying to get the pin out. I've heard of people drilling them out....but why ? It's a rolled pin and it's steel, so drilling it out might turn into a headache as it will spin with the bit I assume. You cannot punch it out as it doesn't go straight through so there's no hole on the other side of the buffer tube. What I did was , find a wood or sheetmetal screw with coarse threads (not machine threads) that will tightly fit inside the rollpin. Screw it in enough for the threads to grab into the pin but not expand it too much, get your pliers if needed and pull the screw out and the pin will follow. If it comes out partially then just grab it with the pliers and pull it out. Other methods would be JBweld e wire inside the roll pin and then pull it out once the glue sets. Enjoy your adjustable stock.

Mine did become a headache to get out. I drilled it out, making a hole that wasn't there. Then I end up breaking a drill bit that got stuck inside the hole and then.....breaking another drill bit.
I then hammered the pin out with a small punch.
So after all of that I had metal shavings inside the stock which scratched up my buffer tube when I adjusted the stock from short to long.
In the end I threw a Magpul CTR on it and it looks pretty sweet!

Looks good. Any problems getting the Magpul MBUS to fit? Are those the Gen-2's?
.....I sent the company an email and was told that any AR15 freefloat with fit onto the JR as long as it comes with it's own barrelnut.
I'm hearing different with comsumers needing spacers.
don't buy the JR...it's ugly. get yourself the Thureon Defense carbine!I am in the market for a pistol-caliber carbine. I already shoot and reload 9mm, so ammo is cheap and plentiful. The JR caught my eye, as it is non-res and takes 10rd G17 magazines.
Now that C-19 has ascended into law (time to celebrate)...any reason for me not to pull the trigger?![]()
