Well I couldn't wait for the LGR to die before buying this one, so it's not a celebratory purchase, but I'm still happy that we are off the big list.

Anyway, I like looking at SKS pics here and there isn't a sticky for that so I'll just share a couple here for y'all and you guys and gals can feel free to post yours here as well.

So, the theme is your new SKS, modified or unmodified, but not cooped up in your bedroom. Let's show them off in some natural light!

Here's a pic of mine between a Swedish 6.5x55 and an Enfield .303 for size comparison. It is smaller than I expected. Just bought it Friday to celebrate the death of the LGR and just got back from the range from trying it out. Works perfect and lots of fun to shoot.

Those are some nice rifles, I noticed your pic in another thread a day or two ago. I like the knives too, I might try and get a shot like that with my KA-BAR.

Take some pics in the sun if you can and let us see how they turn out too!

Nice pics. All you need is a wild turkey on that bayonet and then it would be a springtime shishkebab.

If it is sunny tomorrow I will see what kind of a "posed" pic I can come up with.

Here is my attempt to "pose" some of my stuff for a photo session outdoors. I like looking at peoples photos and seeing if I can identify stuff so I took some of my "old looking" guns and some old knives and stuff I had laying around the house/yard and staged a scene. I think the stuff does look better in natural light like DarceMegarce said. What do you guys think?

The bottom one(chinese, messed up stock, though not visible in the pic) is soon to be in a tan ATI strikeforce stock to annoy the heck out of some of you. And scout mounted. I can imagine the smoke rolling from your ears already.

Wow those pics turned out amazingly! The white hot sun is perfect for bringing out the textures in the wood. Hopefully this will inspire others to try an outdoor photo shoot as well and we can get a really nice thread going here.

I like the dual trigger fingers lol. Nothing wrong with switching up the Chinese one, especially if the stock is already buggered.

Nice pics!

Great Pics. My favourite peice is the old ladle on top of the water barrel. Takes me back to the days of that old TV show "Little House on the Prairie". I used to watch that all the time back in the day with my Grand Aunt... don't ask. LOL
