SP-01 Shadow 2012 model abailability

I have my SP-01 Custom shop (By Angus Hobdell), that thing is amazing, lightest DA and SA trigger i've ever used.. i dont think i'll be upgrading just yet... :)

The only thing i would change, is put an oversize slide release, i cant reach the factory one without changing the holding position...

The basic shadow is more than accurate enough for IPSC. What I want to know is what part the guys polished to get that smooth and light da first pull. That is the thing I hate about my shadows.

Maybe I was lucky with mine. I just dropped in the Skelton combat hammer and the trigger pull was fantastic compared to one with the stock trigger.

They should offer a upgrade for our normal shadows, like trigger job and hammer. I am not selling my shadow, love it to death.

From reading European forums I've heard the figure of €1500 (1960CAD). Seems about 400CAD too high in my view. If its true then I doubt they'll sell many. I would only pay 2-300CAD more (if proven that it's more accurate).

I have the hammer and spring installed and it's nowhere close to a crafm trigger upgrade. Have you measured your DA pull?

CZ now offers a factory part, 11lb hammer spring. makes for very very nice triggers. I got one off of them in Greece in October. If you use Federal primers, no problem, CCI or Winchester may not ignite.

They only had 3 in Greece at the World Shoot, two had already been bought. I snagged the 3rd . haven't seen anyone get them here yet.

A well done trigger job will bring the Shadow to about the same 5Lb DA & under 3Lb SA, all for under $200.

+1 on Federal primer choice for tuned Shadows. As a potential drawback of tuning: it made my Kadet kit mostly useless, with light primer strikes at almost 40%.

I wonder if a well-worn 13Lb mainspring is about as good as brand-new 11Lb? ;) I haven't replaced mine in 2 years.

I agree with that. A worn 13lb spring should be fine. For all you IPSC production shooters shame on you for talking about trigger jobs :) Just put a 13lb spring and a competition hammer in the gun and go practice. Plenty of dry fire and shooting will help a new shadow trigger improve. It did with mine! In addition only first shot is DA for IPSC and even sometimes you my be starting chamber empty. It's like weak hand shooting. Just practice until its no longer your weak element of the game!!
