Just ordered my first SKS

Saw all these nice SKS on CGN lately.

Took an SKS/AK-course lately and absolutely loved the SKS.

BUT: over here in Switzerland, these things are as rare as hens teeth.

Then a few days ago I got an email from a friend asking if I was interested in a brandnew russian SKS.

Now I have to wait for them to be imported, which will take about 4 months.

I hate waiting for a new gun.

I think I'll keep my Stgw, the army wouldn't like it when I show up at the annual qualification with an SKS.

A whooping 450.- Swiss Francs, which is about 490.- Canadian

I picked up the two I got for $169 & $199 (if I recall correctly, I paid for them in advance of the gun registry falling to celebrate...) It goes to show you how different the prices are around the world! I know New Zealand has some high gun prices as well!!!

Enjoy your Russian SKS! I will be blasting away with them with a friend & then giving one to him!

A brandnew SKS from Russia? I think it took 45 years for your email to show up.


But enjoy shooting it, we like them here, very popular especially when you can get surplus ammo.

It's a Tula 1953 unissued laminated stock, mint condition.

Just a normal shooting course for civilians, but most of the instructors are in the army, too.

all likely found on ebay or here in the EE section.. and depending on the ammo you can get they may already be on stripper clips, I have a bunch of the things i may never use.
