Guess what it is. (LAR 15 Quad Mag Coupler)

I'm going to be blunt with my expert opinion...

That's the stupidest idea I've seen in a while. The cross shape will be cumbersome and unwieldy. Stop now, destroy all sketches and move on to something else. A side by side H layout would be better.

As a side note, the use of plastic would be the weak link. For low volume, which is what this would be, plastic is more expensive than aluminum.

i dont like it to be honest now if it was a double double design of a couple lar mag end to end then coupled to another coupled set of lar magazines. nice drawing though.

I agree, and i LOL'd that you were the only one to bring up this point.

I also agree an H design with 2 mags, and 2 mags, linked together with some sort of "devise" would at least fit into mall ninja vests, and such.
Wouldnt look so funny either.

Still wouldnt buy one of those even, as i am not a mall ninja, and do not require the uber fast loading requirements of everyday mall ninja-ing.

I wouldn't use the OP's design if you gave it to me for free. Hell, you could pay me to take it and I'd still just throw it in the parts bin.

It's just not a viable product idea.

Nice try, but I beat you too it. Next time use the search function :p

I never took it past the concept stage. I think the H style coupler is the best any ways. But hey, if we don't try new ideas, nothing new ever gets built. So good on you for trying.

Check out my CGI renderings:

Although the idea is good, I think it would be quite cumbersome to use what the OP has designed.

my .02 for what its worth

Well, it was just an idea... jesus...I wasn't exactly setting out to create something to start a business on....

btw, if there was any interest at all I figured less than twenty five would be sold, and in that case I can get the materal for the rail for free.

I hear ya on the unweidly bit, but eh, thought someone might like them for a laugh more than anything, but obviously no fun can be had unless everything is super high speed low drag aweosme tactical. H configuration would be better and I was orginally thinking about something in that configuration, however its likley been done before and can be improvised really easily.

But yeah, I'm gonna go cry now, and hope that one day I'll make something I can be blessed with the opportunity of ...paying you to own it to throw in your parts bin. ;)

Thank you for your expert opinion.

Agreed, the way I see it is theres nothing wrong with putting an idea out there, and thanks for the encouragement.
